NO PAYMENT UNEMPLOYMENT

I have been to department of Labor last year to open a complaint against a company that retrenched me after almost 10 years of service. The labour department complaints department refused to register me for unemployment as there was a CCMA case pending despite the fact that I qualified for UIF benefits. I have been treated very very bad, harassed, insulted and left to sit from 7 in morning to sometimes 15h50 because I am a white female. In spite of the fact that the company did not pay over the UIF benefit and could not supply the required U19 form for months, the company were not closed down, nor did any inspector visit the company to obtain the required document. After many hours in queues and pleading and sms from labour inspectors lying etc. etc.I eventually got 3 different U19 forms. I have copies, clearly the Company did not have a clue! In November 2014 I eventually got registered for UIF.I signed on 24 /12/14 and in Jan 15 again. I got my first payment of around R6200.00 only in February 2015. I went and signed every month. You start to queue at 7h15 for hours and hours. The staff are rude, unfriendly and the Managers openly discriminate against white females!!!! Making jokes in front of 100 of African people in their language. I was called a white bitch when I asked what queue I had to stand in. I only got my second payment in April 2014. I went to sign again in May 2015, then again on 1 June 2015, I called Pretoria complaints line and spoke to a lady called Petro who told me that my U19 from was not processed. She lodged a complaint but too date I heard absolutely nothing. Its been another 2 months without any payment. I have not had a working income since end September 2015. Everywhere is posters about Basic Conditions of Employment Act and The Department of Labours Code of Conduct and Complaints Line and Fraud Line. I tried to call all these numbers. What a joke!. I have African peoples numbers who is prepared to testify how badly all unemployed people are treated at Germiston UIF! Everyone is depressed. Have no money. Their families are going hungry and a person like myself who earned a high income and worked my butt of for a company that have no regards for any laws, I paid so much tax, UIF for years and years without claiming one cent and I cannot get my benefits? Who decide on the amount of the payment? My second payment was just over R5000? and too date.....nothing. I have lost everything. Like everyone else at UIF I have contributed. I have paid my taxes. I have looked at the many complaints online for months and nothing is being done about it! They should stop taking UIF and Taxes as it means nothing!!!! There are not laws that actually mean anything. Goverment Officials abuse the system and get paid to be horrible and rude to people. I invite the Ministers and Carte Blanche and whoever to go undercover and see how people are treated at these departments! How absolutely terrible!!! I am prepared to go public and to give all my back-up and expose The Company, The Inspectors at Department of Germiston and all the staff. We sign a register in everytime too proof we been there. I guarantee you if this goes public you will have thousands of people coming forward about the terrible vitimisation and treatment.Is there anyone in this Country that actually care?

Does not qulify for bennifit and has contributed

uif

I am sick and tired of waiting for my martenity benefits. I applied my martenity benefits on 27 march 2015 at roodeport department of labour and they told me to come back check if its approved after 4-8 weeks,i went back on the 07 may 2015and it was nt approved they gave me another day which was the 04th of june 2015 when i called thm they told me that its not approved the are waiting for declaration letter..i dont have money and i need to pay bills i have so many depts and i cant go to roodeport now and again coz i went back to work. This is really frustrating cz this is my money which is deducted every month. Why do you deduct it if i cant get it when i need it. Roodeport stuff are useless. Please assist me.

kraamverlof

Ek het die 23 maart my aansoek gedoen vir kraamverlof geld tot datum is daar niks geld inbetaal nie elke keer wat ek bel word daar gese ons moet net wag want daar is veranderings van system dus nie ons ma's se skuld as hulle verander nie niemand ken hulle werk by uif nie en die goed gaan ek koerant toe vat ek gaan nie dit hier los nie ons vrouens sit by die huis kry nie inkomste nie maar ek wonder hoe moet ons melke en doekke koop as uif nie ons geld gee nie dit moet seker vanself uit die hemel val die doekke en melke ek is jam ek gaan 1 julie terug werk toe en tot nou toe niks geld nie jy bel al jou geld uit na hulle toe vir slegte diens is al niks anders nie niemand kan n mense help nie niemand kom terug na n mense toe as jy bel nie hulle is amal net daar vir n groot pay te kry maar weet nie hoe om die wer te doen nie !!!!!!!!! Ek is jam dus nie hoe dinge werk nie.

UIF Maternity

My work faxed through my UI19 to Pretoria the 18th of Feb. To date its still not captured on the system and I'm just wondering....WHO THE HELL is NOT doing their job???? I'm going back to work the 17th of June and still nothing has happened. When people on the other side of the phone clearly dont have any flippen clue whats going on...how can anything be done right???
I've been told over and over to phone back next week just for them to tell me that yet again. I'm beyond frustrated! Can someone PLEASE help me.
Maybe everyone struggling with this issue must just go to Cate Blance or the papers...cause this is a joke!!! I'ts OUR money....!!!!!!!!!!

FRAUD AT UK EMBASSY NOT GET VISA FOR UK

For your kind information, at present I am under heavy debts due to I was appointed at Kindred Rose Hospital, UK. I paid Rs.11.25 lac to embassy Councillor Mr. James and now Mr. Jordi through bank which receipts are with me. All payments ware made under intimation to the management. I made complaint to the management and embassy but no result till the date. I lost my present job due to their urgent requirements. I lost my FD,Gold and Family due to heavy debts. Now, I am living in as mall room of my friend and eating free to religious camp.

Therefore once again request and apologize for visa.

terrible service

I have submitted my claim in full in February 2015. ALL my documents were 100% and all there as confirmed by the office on the day of submission. I have had never ending problems. Mine is a maternity claim. It is now the end of May and i still have had no payout. The service at the call centre is unbelievably bad (with the exception of Monica). The attitude by the call centre agents are terrible. Today Jane banged the phone down on me. They are rude and unhelpful and a waste of our tax money. A claim cannot take 3 months to process and still to no avail.

uif maternity

I applied for uif maternity benefits in April 2015 and was advised to check within 6 weeks. When I called the first time they said I must check within the 8th week. Now whenever you call the 0117662000 number,no one picks up. The government is really failing us as paying citizens especially after us as women have given birth.

Terrible Service

After trying to phone different branches the phone just rings or stays engaged. My Wife went to the Boksburg branch to hand in her Maternity papers this morning. While standing in the Q waiting, the incompetent woman at the counter started telling people to do something in her language that my wife never understood. And had to ask someone in the Q what she said as she would not repeat it in English. Then once she got to the the counter. The woman told her she cant help her as she needed more papers and she needs to go to the branch where she lives to hand in her UIF papers and sort it out there. But yet we know for a act that the papers were all there and correct. Now what I don't understand is that the guy in front of her was from Durban and he was been helped and the Lady next to my wife was from Randburg (with the same papers, and she was been helped???.) How is it that Alberton is the closest but they wouldn't help her?
The woman then told my wife. " Are we done here and ignored her" and sat down refusing to help her. Now I am being completely honest when I say that. My wife never got upset with her or anything of the sort. As she was afraid if she does it would be a case of her papers been chucked in the bin....
Someone needs to sort these branches out and replace these ill mannered incompetent workers with people who deserve to be there...!!!

UIF CLAIMS

My husband applied for his UIF at Richardsbay Labour Department Branch in February 2015, everything was approved and he was given the 5th of March 2015 as his date to come and sign. He went there and three weeks went by without him being paid and I phoned Labour Department they told me he is owing UIF FUND so the money went there, when I asked if they can tell me how much he is owing they said no they will tell him personally. He went to sign on the next given date which was 7th of April 2015, when he asked them to check for him how much he was owing they said they are very busy and have no time for that but he is still going to payback maybe for four months. He went again on the next date which was 11th of May 2015 he was told that the balance owing is R8000 whilst he got R22000 on the fund.

My question is how come they couldn't tell him how much he is owing at first other than telling him now? and this really does not makes sense because he says he only signed twice in 2011 when he was employed and got paid about R3000 altogether, how come is he owing so much now? Are Labour Department employees stealing our money or something? Really there is something fishy here.

I will appreciate your response because as at is now things are really hard for us as we are both unemployed and thought this money will help with our daily household needs, we can't even afford 10kg maize right now.

Maternity UIF

I have applied for Maternity leave benefits at the Roodepoort Labour department in March 2015 and was told that the process will take 4-6 weeks (info typed on the form with an official stamp and signature) but I decided to wait for 8 weeks because I got different information from different people.
It is now past 8 weeks and nothing has been paid out yet. Whenever I try to follow up the phone either just rings continuously or the person that picks up (after you explained what your enquiry is about) says she will put you through to "enquiries" where the phones rings and rings until it eventually cuts off. Doesn't anyone know what they are doing? This happens on a daily basis every hour on the hour. How is it possible that not a single person can assist you telephonically let alone answer the phones but when you have to apply at the department there are employees all over the show. You queue for ages in the cold, having to wake up at 4am to avoid being "cut off" and get sent from pillar to post because some or other information on your documents are incomplete. Its a waste of money that you don't even have because you end up having to borrow from someone just to make it through the month.
They get their UIF deductions from our salary without hassle but when it comes to paying you what is owed they vanish from the face of the earth. I will be going back to work soon but am still waiting for my claim to pay out. With so many people complaining about their UIF benefits one would think that the department would pull up their socks and sort everything out asap. But it just goes to show that no regard is being given to the people who earn their living the hard way and contributes to the fund monthly. If you implement a system that is supposed to action pay-outs easier and faster surely you must have the know how to operate said system. Incompetence is at the order of the day!

MATERNITY BENEFITS

I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOUR IN ELDORADO PARK SOUTH OF JOHANNESBURG , I WENT ON MATERNITY LEAVE ON THE 3RD OF FEBUARY , I APPLIED AT THEIR BRANCH ON THE 5TH OF FEBUARY WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS 2 DAYS OLD TODAY SHE IS 4 MONTHS AND I STILL DID NOT RECIEVE ANY PAYMENT OF MATERNITY BENEFITS .
EVERYTIME I GO THERE THEY ( ELDORADO PARK ) THEY TELL ME TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY THEY DO NOT HAVE COMPUTERS , I WENT BACK THE NEXT DAY THEY THEN TELL ME TO COME BACK NEXT WEEK I WAS UP AND DOWNING WITH MY BABY .
IT HAS BEEN 4 MONTHS NOW , I EVEN PHONED THE BRAAMFONTEIN BRANCH AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY APPLICATION WAS PROCESSED AND IS WAITING APPROVAL BUT WHEN I DOUBLE CHECKED WITH ANOTHER EMPLOYEE HE TOLD ME THAT NOTHING WAS DONE ON MY APPLICATION I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF MY MONEY .

PLEASE CLOSE YOUR ELDORADO PARK BRANCH AS THEY ARE OF NO USE TO OUR COMMUNITY IN ELDORADO PARK .

Pathetic service by government officials who are supposed to be educated, have a don't care attitude. Payments take long, u-filling account blocked, no service to assist on line. payments are made with no clarification as to why the incorrect amount was paid, but when coming to deductions whilst employed, money has to be correct at all times.

Still waiting for my UIF Pay out

I have applied on the 3 March 2015 i been to the department 3 times already to sign on the 18 of May i was told no one has looked at my application with no paper work i was sent away and told by the Superviosor from the Boksburg department i must keep calling if you dont even have money to travel up and down where must you get money for airtime this is our own money why must we beg there is no service the staff dont even make an effort to help you just as easy please try again the service in South Africa is totaly DISGUSTING so can someone explain to us why must we beg for our own money i will leave my number i think we should do something about this or employee people that is willing to work and not sit and chat all day 0788715109

Hi.... I applied for UIF at the Rooderpoort Department of Labour on the 10th February 2015, that is when I submitted all my requested doucuments and on the same day I was given a day(on the 12 March 2015) to come and sign. I went and I was told that my UIF is not approved yet, I was given another date (13 April 2015) when I got there they said it's not approved AGAIN and their system has changed and asked me to come on the 4 May 2015.The 4th came all of a sudden I was told my documents were not scanned and the worst part is that they can't even find my documents.... I am in need of that money since my bills are left unpaid and I've been trying to call the Rooderpoort branch on the 011 766 2000 but no one is answering. Please advise what I should do and where I should find help.

still awaiting maternity benefit for 4months now

Hi, I am really sadden that I still have not received my Maternity UIF Claim. I submitted my documents in January2015. I called to confirm that all is in order, they checked on the system and confirmed all documents were scanned and received. I called again in March2015, only to be advised my medical certificate is not scanned. I sent it through again, I checked my UFiling and my Medical certificate is scanned. Maternity UIF

Good day

I applied for Maternity UIF at the Roodepoort Department of Labour in March. I was told to do a follow up on my payment after 4-6 weeks on tel no. 011 766 2000 (information printed on a paper complete with a stamp and an official signature). When I phone they either don't pick up or if someone picks up and you explain what your enquiry is about you get put through to "enquiries" where the phone rings a few times then gets conveniently cut off. I cannot believe that one has to wait for money that is being so diligently deducted from your salary every month without any hassles. To top it all off you have to be at their offices really early before they even open their eyes to wake up and get ready for work, queue in the cold for over two hours just to make sure that you don't get "cut off", queue for another 7/8 hours just for someone to take your form and place it on top op a thousand others and tell you that they will capture the details tomorrow. I have yet to speak to a person that can actually give me some sort of answer as to when I can receive my first payment. I would like to know how they can implement a system which they clearly don't understand or does it say something about the people they employ??? I have never come across such incompetence. I hope there is a way forward that will benefit each and every person that is to this day waiting on their own hard earned money to be paid out to them.

unhappy

My father passed on September 2014 and left my brother, who is still in school, in my care. March 2015 I went to claim an independence benefit on behalf of him to take care of his school fees etc. At the Department of Labour I was helped by an agent who has not done his work properly and therefore it caused the claim to be unsuccessful. I was told on the 25th of March 2015, exactly 6 months from the date my father passed on, the 25th of September 2014. An agent helped me but because of me not having all of the documents at that time, was told to go back home and get all of the documents needed( the documents the agent refered to was a Birth Certicate of my brother, which I could get hold of because he was at school in another town. When he finally had the chance to come down we went to go make him a Birth certificate and we got it. on the 14th of April 2015 I went to the Department Of Labour once again all to find out that I'm late and that my claim will be refused because it allready exceeded the 6 months period. The Agent who than helped me told me that the agent who prevoiusly helped me should have captured the application form and then shouldve told me to bring the other outstanding documents when I have it, which he did not do. My claim was refused because of him not doing hid work properly and I feel that that is unfair. What must I do because my brother is trying to finish grade 12 but can't because there is no money.

Ive applied for maternity leave before my application was consider i was send back 3 times saying my forms a wrong i fixed that today i go back to only find im told that my UI19 is wrong but i was not told that first time i have no money to buy nappies food for my baby i was send from pillar to post and the staff the are not help at all labour department from germiston is worse ive seen staff have attitude their dont work we sit as if we have to beg them to do their work please do something about germiston people today almost got hurt as a goverment to something im fustrated is my money should i suffer to get it
