shoddy service at KEMPTON labour dept

I was told to leave my place of work by a very unfair employer on 8th may 2013. She unfairly deducted money off my salary each month I was there. I took this matter to STANLEY and JP ROUX of kempton park labour dept!!! They have delivered all documentation and she has admitted she owes me this money but I just don't get an anwser on when I will receive my money??? All JP says is don't contact me again as I cannot tell you when it will paid to you, no one knows???? Is this really and anwser???? I mean CMON!!! Not good enough absolutely horrified.... Stanley and JP ROUX proceeded to tell me that I should count myself lucky as some cases on his desk have been there for 7 years!!!! I have laid a formal complaint with JP as he informed me he was the person that handled this!!!! No reply NO joy NO anwsers??? [email protected]

uif maternity leave

My name is molly,I live in Johannesburg,and I came from Limpopo,I started maternity leave on the 1 of November,I took my documents to the village December holidays and I applied there Thohoyandou center,29-12 2014,and they told me all my documents their ok,so I have to come on 29-01-2015, when I went back they said I must come back on 27-02-2015.and I told them that I will be in Johannesburg and they said I can go to any branch and today I went to bramfotein centre and the guy who was helping me told me,they want pay slip,and I told him I submitted all my documents Thohoyandou centre. He gave me their contacts and they were not going through,I told him that the contacts not going through and he said there is nothing he can do..and I was not happy about the service because he is the person who supposed to help out,now I don't know what to do.i need some help about [email protected]

Application for Wiremen's License

Hi.
I sent my application for my Wiremen's license in December 2014.

First they lost my ID photos, saying I did not send it. I went through the list 10 times to make sure I sent everything needed.
Then I was promised "next week" every time I phoned.
Last week I was promised I will get it this week, the application is in progress.

I phoned today and nothing yet.

ABSOLUTELY CRAPPY SERVICE.

Absolute shit service...... I want to explain our horrible experience with, which department was it again. Clearly it's not going to help. I will rather slander the rubbish and have a little fun. The useless, corrupt authorities leading our country are quietly exhausting all our(taxpayers) resources. The budget allocated for payment to us has been used illegally and there is no money to pay us and no one will take responsibility. This government forces the hand and makes people carry on like animals in front of parliament and all sorts of places. We are all being lied to. Useless people deserve to be told that they are useless, oh yes, the useless thieves that blame apartheid for their incompetence don't care cause they are happy stealing their peoples money. And I am happy after writing this, hope you(reader) are aswell...........I will keep you updated.......

I bet no-one has read all these complains

This service was meant to assist the recently unemployed, but its failing dismally. I've also been sent from pillar to post by incompetent staff for 6 months now the card is full they have nowhere to write another date and yet they would just say come back next week it's not processed.

My first encounter was the most incompetent person I've ever seen Papi at vanderbijlpark labour department, he captured wrong information omitted crucial information and all this while I was forced to spectate his bubblegum gymnastics. while I listen to him chatting to another colleague about their weekend escapades. and after that I was told to come after a month only to find the horror of Papi's incompetence after queieng the whole day while there are two childish girls giggling the whole time behind a single desktop whilst the place is full of people who used the very last of whatever little they had to be there. as an elderly lady complains they look at her and roll their eyes even in the presence of their superior, it's only when the whole room start getting into the action that their superior comes in and explains that they are training, and the atmost horror is that they are being trained by Papi who is now lurking behind the kids with a grin like smirk that suggests his work is done, the little girls he deployed will carry on his legacy. they help only 1 person an hour while their senior tells 20 more people to come back next month in just 20 minutes, no matter what your issues are if they are not solved in a minutes you come back next month.

Now after a few months coming there I meet Jewel he collects all my documents again and tells me of Papi's incompetence, he assures me that he will personally take my documents to bloemfontein and he will call me, but I'm assured he won't do it when he refuses to give his direct line and insists he has my number, and lives up to the incompetency of his office.

by now I've seen almost everyone in the office and am starting to resemble it's furniture, I finally meet the supervisor and am thinking here is somebody that can make things happen, and boy who was I kidding. This man softly tells me how helpless he is and how there is nothing he can do, for a moment I thought he was going to burst into prayer and ask for divine intervention. lastly he tells me just keep coming whenever you have to check, I ask why no-one answers the phone and he simply says there is no-one assigned to the phone so no-one answers the phone. he also tells me there are thousands of cases like mine so I should beare with him.

as I walk away from the embarrassment of an office I ask myself what happened to our people and the country's administration

UIF Maternity Benefit

I submitted my claim for the maternity benefit in October 2014 and it is now February 2015 and I have not recieved a cent from the UIF. Everytime i phone in I am told that they have not recieved one or the other forms. This is really beyond frustrating because I have faxed and emailed all the required forms several times. When I call and ask to speak to the supervisor I am put on hold forever. I need answers and i am really unsatisfied with the service from the UIF

I already register in november 18th and up to date i havent sign,they keep on saying come back next month, head office still need to processed my things.
This is bullshit,somebody is lieing.

I need answers

I registered in August / September 2014 and its now February 2015 and I still have not been paid out. No one will give me answers and the supervisors cant answer either. I need to know when I will be paid. I have worked for many years and paid for this service, yet this being the first time I want to use them and it takes this long and cant get feed back. I think I spend more on phone call to see what is happening. I actually dont even know what to do anymore. I NEED ANSWERS and a CALL BACK like promised. I have sent the documents numerous times.

Maternity UIF Claims

Hi,
I see a lot of people are having the same problems as us. My wife went on maternity leave in December and submitted her forms in late December because we had a baby, a wedding to plan in December, family coming down and it was very busy. Now we have phoned again and they keep putting off telling us to phone again in a weeks time. Every time it is the same answer, not been approved yet. Now you are supposed to go back to the department every month to "prove" that she is still on maternity leave to claim the payments. That is ridiculously stupid as she is entitled to her 4 months payments for working for over 7 years!
If the first payment only comes the month before or when she goes back, does she not receive the rest of the payments she is ENTITLED to by LAW ?!? Like all of you, payments are owing, creditors are phoning, we are in a bad situation too...
I think Carte Blanche is a very good idea but with all else wrong with the country due to extreme inefficiencies in government that they don't care about since taking tax off a salary is tantamount to mafia rule, but who cares right? We are "protected" by our law and government ... oh wait.....

No we are not. Sorry, but this is really screwing us over, and if we are suffering this much, I cannot IMAGINE how bad others are suffering, and I have read all the comments on this thread, where most of the stories are WORSE than ours!!!!

Getting through to a supervisor is impossible, and I know why. I have been to many different government departments and police, etc in my travels through disaster after disaster over the last 10 years and when you are reporting a crime and the cop is taking his personal call and laughing for 20 minutes (!) and when the supervisor at the Traffic Department is not answering calls playing on his computer .... this is very true and endemic. They are almost ALL like this, so used to people complaining about shoddy service ... in fact I WISH it was shoddy service, that would be a step UP from this absolute abusive inefficiency ....

Anyway, now you know why you cannot get hold of anyone who cares, they are either fired for being too competent (hence their salaries are too high) or they are too low down in the hierarchy not getting promoted for being TOO GOOD at their job.... hahaha! (I have direct experience with this latter situation, being explicitly told in my previous job NOT to be too good at it otherwise I would never get promoted!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Apologies for the long post that most likely no-one will read through to the end, but if we don't as a group do something together, then we will all suffer alone....

1. You come there for a visitor uif they give you a form that comes with bank statement and they says you must come tomorrow
. If you come the following day they chase you back at home because they arleady cut the que they take only 200 people a day; they cut the que early in the morning at about 6:00 they don't tell u if you are there for visit they chase you away saying go home u r late.
2. Is it how it works from labour chasing people just like that what about money that you have been spent to go there you are there because you don't have? This people after one they don't work they seat n chat.
3. Person who help people busy chat with his/her friend not concetrating on what you are saying after that she tells u to go home and come tomorrow.

Am very upset about this plz help on this situation.

MATERNITY BENEFIT UIF

In October 2014 I applied for Maternity Benefit from the Department of Labour. To date I have not received 1c benefit from the Department of Labour. I am back at work and my Baby is already 4 months old. Every time I phone to follow up on this claim they have the one excuse after the other. No one can actually give me an answer to how long this claim is still going to take.
There is never a Manager available to speak to. Initially one of the excuses were that there was a problem with the date on the UI19 form. Then my employer went and change the date on the UI19 form which was not incorrect but just to please the Department of Labour. After they confirmed that they did receive the new UI19 form faxed to them, 10 days later no one could find the fax again. I pay UIF every month and I expect adequate service from the Department of Labour. Pathetic!!!!!!!

Maternity Claim

I have submitted my documents for my claim in November 2014. Till
to date I have not received any thing. I've been to the department alot of
times only to be told the same thing, " my claim has not been approved". Why the delay? Why should I keep on struggling to receive my money that has been deducted from my salary? Its a pity that we have to deal with such
incompetence.

RUDE EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOUR

On the 06 February 2015, I got a message from my office that there is a lady from the department of labour who called and would like me to call her back. I called her and she told me that she is looking for a UI19 for one of our employees, when I explained to her that I'm just an administrator but she can request that kind of information to our HR lady via email and she will assist. Then Selina Bambo got irritated with me and told me that she requested that information from our HR lady and she did not get it so she insists that I get it for her. As i was trying to explain she just hung up on me. I found that to be extremely rude, especially because i"m the one who called her.

Maternity Claim

Why do we get UIF deducted from our salaries? Its so shocking and disturbing that our government keeps on taking and taking from us with no issues or problems but when we claim we have to struggle. We have to face incompetent people who work at the department of labour to just tell us bull. Why is it that we have to fight for OUR money, the money thats been taken from our salaries. I have been complaining and nothing has been done.
I'm so disgusted with the abuse we are getting from our government.

UIF RETURNS NOT BEING PAID OUT

My Boyfriend got end of contract in beginning of November 2014 and did his UIF application and it was done by end of November 2014.He then got confirmation that he can come and sign for his first payment on 29 December 2014. When he got there we where told that all his papers was in order but the Superior in Germiston that is suppose to just approve the payment was on leave and it had not been approved.

We called everyday as we were told to here if any progress has been made.He was due to sign again on 29 January and the papers has still to this day not been approved.

We've been told on several occasions that it would be done "today" but it never happens. He is still having problems getting any response on why it has not been approved.

Other workers that was given end of contract on the same project and by the same company that have applied after he did got their returns and they are also in the same region as us.

Every time we go to the labour offices we stand there for several hours with no help and when you reach the counter the assistant at the counter either disappears or gives you the same lame excuse that the papers have not been approved yet, there's nothing they can do except wait for it to happen.They blame their superior offices in Germiston for not approving.

He has been sitting without any outcome since December month and has not been helped at all. He is totally shattered and feels so helpless.

What can we do, who can we contact isn't there anyone that has any advise.

widows pension

My husband passed away in October 2013

i have been calling department of labour since 2013 till now February 2015,till this day i did not get proper responce they have been telling me that they will get back to me,none of them had an initiative to call me and everyday i spend more than R100 on aitime trying to call the Labour offices and i even went to King williams town labour ,still i was not assisted and they told me the matter had been transfered to Pretoria till this day i have not received the funeral expenses together with the widows pension.

I am very much dissapointed with department of Labour while they are saying that they have the best service and Bato pele principles doesnt apply at all.

Can anyone assist me with the above matter

No U.I.F received as yet

To whom it may concern;

It has been 5 months since being unemployed. I have phoned numerous times only to hear that you have apparently a new server. Yet it's not a new system just basic upgrading to Windows 8. Therefore you have a back log caused by your own doing. When can I receive my U.I.F. Do you even care to phone all of us and give an update. No? Why not? However when we phone we either hold forever or get disconnected eventually. Actually should we managed to find a job it's a benefit for you guys as you don't allow to pay back logs due to your own doing.

How do you plan to fix this disgrace and when?

Please be in contact with all of us that has applied since September and is still waiting.

If you need training on Windows 8 let me know as I used to do that whilst working.

UIF Mat benefits

After 34 calls only since the 22dec 2014 untill friday 30 jan... and submittion of forms from nov 2014.. STILL NO PAYMENT. Dep of labour should be at our service. Dep of labour should have our best interest at heart. Yet they are false, dishonest, full of excuses all the time and not capable of working in this "caring" enviroment. I have had enough now and i am going to lodge a formal complaint at the ministry. And i am going to take this matter to carte blanch. I will not stand for this nonsense. I pay for their salaries. I WANT SERVICE. I want what is due to me. Uif maternity benefits.

Horrendous Service from Department of Labour!!!

On the 11th of December 2014, I approached the depart mentioned of Labour with a view of submitting my UIF claim only to be told that I still needed a letter of relation from my previous company. On the 12th December I again went to the department of Labour in malboro this time with all relevant documents for my UIF claim. I was then given a card that stated the 15th of January 2015 as the day I should come and sign. On the said date after hours of standing in the queue I was told that my application was not processed due to being short staffed in December. Where I was given a telephone number to call to check on the status of my application and this time my date to sign was moved to the 13th of february 2015. On the 30th of January 2015 I called the said number where after holding for over 45 minutes (using cell phone) I eventually got through to a guy who also transferred me to someone else who after checking their system told me that my application was still not approved due to missing documentation. Which incidentally happened to be my Ui19 and letter of relation as well as a copy of my ID. Does this mean I am starting this process over again. When I asked what happened to the documents I submitted already, I was told "she does not know". We really need a sense of accountability from our government officials. Some of my ex colleagues that I started this whole process with are already heading for their second payments. Can someone please help. I am at a loss. My contacts are [email protected]

No Service and no payments

After working for the same company for 15 years I was forces to apply for unemployment. After completing the required documentation as per your departments specifications and submission on the dates as specified on the door and controlled by the security guard at the door. No payment was made. Again after 3 days of standing in the sun and rain from 8h00 the door was closed at 4h00 right in front of my face, twice. On the 4th attempt I was told by a person who was very busy having a private conversation on her cell phone that I must wait another 2 weeks because the person who could fix the mistake they made was sick.
Why on Gods earth did I pay UIF to receive nothing, since I applied. You cannot complain about service if there is NONE and the government is just collecting, because they made it a law, but God forbid when you want to get a return on years of payments. It is disgusting how the government institutions don’t give a flying duck about their service and the image of their departments.
No when am I gonna get my money

Non submission of claim

Good Day
My name is Mathapelo Moiloa. I was injured on 23.September.2014 while was in duty. My Knee ligaments is broken have already done two operation on my knee but my employer Tokologo Local Municipality in Free State (Boshof) have not submitted my claim forms and i have already filled them. What steps or procedure must i take for them to submit my claim because its already 5 months and there are sitting with my claim.

disgusting service at UIF Roodepoort

The staff at UIF Roodepoort have no discipline, no values regarding service, disrespect for public and a huge lack of urgency!!! What is this country coming to? I go there with a world of patience and hope for someone to assist me with my claim.But no, I'm being blatantly ignored and sent from pillar to posy but no results. UIF Roodepoort, your staff's attitude is of the most disgusting I've ever come across...and I'm not exaggerating!!!

4 months of claiming UIF benefits and still not helped.

Hi. I have been travelling to and from Maponya Mall Thusong services just to get help, i lost my job i Sep 2014 and having been trying to claim, everytym i got to Labour dept(Maponya) I was told on 3 occasions that my claim dates did not correspond with my employers dates. Iv been trying to fix this problem to no avail,everyime i got to the centre its either, systems are offline,theyv cut the queue(200 people a day),then they were at a Christmas function, and today 19-01-2015 am still sitting outside,its been. 4 hrs in a queue outside the door and no help, the service here is really bad, someone please give me more details on where I hav to go to take this further. I have applied for my maternity UIF on the 17 October 2014 and I have still not received any form of payment. Whenever I phone the department they say to mu application has not been approved yet and that I should phone on a weeks time again. I've also been told that a supervisor would call me but no one has yet. I need some help please!

maternity uif

I applied for my maternity uif on the 6th of November 2014. I was pregnant and had to run up and down because they had a new system and did not know what they were doing. Eventually I gathered all the documentation that was required for them. I had to go back 17 times and eventually on the 5th of January somebody assisted me and informed me that my application was not submitted on-line. All that is needed is that my application must be approved. Now they say that something is wrong with their system and its not allowing them to capture my details on-line. They are trying to call another one of their offices but cant get through. It seems like all the departments have telephone numbers for nothing because they do not answer. I have four children aged between 6 and 3 months. I had to go back to work a month after giving birth because i have not collected a single payment. And I dont even know if complaining is going to help.
