Drivetime

I got a 2013 Ford Fiesta from Drive Time on 9/11/2015 and on 4/21/2016 7 months later I took the car to Bill Collins Ford because there was a Hole in the transmission they found the bearing at the rear of the transmission on the output shaft came apart and busted through the rear case , metal shavings throughout the transmission, Damage to the gears and synchronizers. Recall on latch replacement . On 11/21/2016 7 Months later again the Vehicle was having trouble starting , when we got it to start it wouldn't pull. they installed a module in the transmission . then a recall for reprogramming the module in the transmission . I had to get a rental through the warranty til 11/25/2016. Then 3 months later on 2/9/2017 I had a door latch replaced. Now 3 months again May 8 2017 I'm taking the car back to Bill Collins ford Because the car keeps shuddering, jerking, and making noises, the back hatch lock has to be replaced . I have paid 9,281.39 in car payments and drivetime won't refund me it back. This place is a joke.

Was sold a lemon

I was in a bind with my credit I was a home health aide I needed a good car for.me to be able to transport my clients to where they needed to go. So I seen a ad for drive time and went in I got a 2014 mitsubishi mirage es In February I have made every payment in time since I had it up til it went to the garage cause it was not running right, first it was told to us by Aeverex to send it to pep boys,. We had to pay the tow there was told by Aeverex and consumer relations that we would be reimbursed back for the tow up to $75.00,That was a lie Pep boys couldn't fix it so Aeverex told us to have it towed to the Mitsubishi Dealer 2 miles down the road and we would be reimbursed that tow fee also, That was a lie,The car has been in Mitsubishi garage for.a no.th now and Aeverex is refusing to pay to have it fixed even though I purchased extra warranty for this.pos car..Within th month the car has been in garage I have lost my job due to not having transportation, and we put out close to $500 for car rental.and we were they would reimburse us $25 a day for the rental but now they say nope were not paying you back for it..Then I tried to send it back but they won't even take it back unless we pay $600 and some change to Mitsubishi, when in all Aeverex should be responsible for the fixing of the vehicle not me..It's bad enough I'm out of a lot of money with car rentals and tow fees,And lost my job over them..And I need my income my Fiance' has congestive heart failure and other heart issues and I wasn't even able to get him to where ever he had to go..Please add me to the Lawsuit.. These people need to pay for what they.have done!!!

Lemon Car

I was a naive 19 year old they took advantage of. I was a caregiver, had to take patients places. My current car was dangerous. Saw a commercial for drive time saying they would give you a car with no credit. Not many places do that. I had no credit or anyone to be a cosigner so I felt it was my only option. They sold me a 2006 Ford Focus. My understanding when they were selling it to me was that it would be 186 a month for five years and the cost would be a total amount of 9,000 something....I had no idea how payments worked or how loans worked....they gave me answers I did not understand. My car is only worth at most in the 3,000's on Kelly Blue Book. By the end of my 5 year loan term I will have paid 23,000 something on it!!! I could have got a new car with the payements I'm making. I'm breaking my back just to make car payements. Not only that but they sold me a wrecked car!!!! In the "car fax" they have me there were no reported accidents. However, I've had 3 mechanics tell me the from end had been totaled and it has all replacement parts. They sold me a lemon!!! They lied about it not being wrecked. I had a ton of work done on this car...seems to be new problems every month. I wish I could just give them the car back and end the payements but they don't allow that either! The loan company Bridgecrest they go through also keeps changing my payoof amount, as well as daily interest. I have multiple screenshots. I make all of my payements on time, In fact, 6 days early!

Repossessed but payments were made

I would like to be added to the class action lawsuit. I consigned a 2009 Chevy Impala for my son on September 27, 2015. According to Drive Time there were no payments made on the vehicle as of 10-07-16 and they repossessed the vehicle on 01-20-2017. However, according to his bank statements payments were being automatically withdrawn every two weeks. I faxed them proof of payments and I have not heard back from anyone. The vehicle was sold after it was taken to the auction house. I need help with this issue and having this vehicle removed from my credit report. I would also like to know what happened to the payments that were made. Please contact me at [email protected]

In October 2016 I took it in and they told me that the throttle body messed up and that they had to wait for approval. I kept calling the mechanic they send me to and still have not helped me . Now it's February 2017 and I still have a messed up car it broke down and I oew 20,000 for a car that's worth 4,000 and have to have it take it in for repair . I took it to pepboys and they fixed the starter and they told me nothing was wrong with the throttle boast that the mechanic that told me that was wrong and I got a wrong dignostic. I don't want to go back to them and Aeverx the insurance that I am paying for no reason told me I have to get my refund back from them beacuse they miss diagnosed . So they fixed the starter not even a mile away from pepboys and it won't start any longer I already got 4 tickets and now they still ask me to make payments. I am sooo done . I need help .

Overpriced Lemon

I bought a 2007 vehicle in 2012, 5 years later and I still owe more than what the car is worth. I have had to get a few extensions for payment due to very expensive car repairs. I drive only 28 miles rounds trip, 5 days a week and I have to bring my car in for repairs almost monthly. I don't trust the vehicle to get me to distant places so I have to buy a rental car if I take a vacation somewhere. I can barely keep up with the car payments and repairs, also I think they do not have my total pay off quote correct. I bout the car for $22k, 5 years later, I still owe $10k...? Makes no sense.

Drive Time aka drive less

I was sold a Ford Escape 2008 it stayed in the repair shop every week I had it but they wanted their money every week without offering a different vehicle. I was placed of disability for a injury to my neck and head. They tried to tell me if missed my first payment and had fallen behind mind you i made 5 payments already. I was and the public assistance office applying assistance with my lights and heard someone's is getting towed. They came and took the truck and left me stranded. The check engine light kept coming on for failing fuel line thato then begun to leak. I was told in was a sensor that was already replaced. I took it to Ford whof told me it was a lemon. This caused me to fall even farther behind as my husband had no way to get to work. I was told it would not go on myour credit, I have not checked ass all of this caused me to go into a deep suicidal depression. Please add me to the lawsuit they need to be stopped. [email protected]

Drive Time took advantage

Drive Time sold me a car (2010 Chevy Cobalt) that had 4 recalls and 2 special policies during the time of purchase and never shared that information with me. They have also trapped me into a loan for 13,000 dollars when the car was only worth 8,000 dollars during the time I bought it which was in July of 2016. I went to get it refinanced to only find out the car is worth 4,172 dollars clean retail and 2,400 dollar trade in value. They never mentioned the recalls and have certainly taken advantage of me in regards to this ridiculous loan amount they have me trapped in. If you are still filing a class action law suit please let me know I will be more than willing to help.

Lemon Ford Taurus

I purchased a 2005 Ford Taurus from Drivetime in 2010. I have invested at least $7K in repairs to the vehicle and have paid it off already. However, they are threatening to repossess this lemon and destroy my credit because they allege I owe they $6K more. These people even forgot to hang up the phone after one of their telephone calls for payment where I could hear them literally laugh about me already paying off the car and the fact that I still owe on my Taurus. It was humiliating.
Add me to the class action lawsuit because they are a scam company.

DriveTime

I bought a car 2 months ago we DriveTime. The car has been making noise ever since I got the car. Sounds like something under the bottom of the car. Take it to the shop and keep it overnight 2 weeks later Cadillac converter. The mechanic says $700 or more. DriveTime now is not good people theythe devil.... it would have fixed the problem then I wouldn't be having this problem now I can't pay her car note and pay for repairs on a car that I haven't had for 2 months. They ought to be ashamed I said I don't see how to go home and lay down and sleep after they do what they do to people. I want you to be the crazy one when I'm not the crazy one. Crazy for putting up on that parking lot and putting their vehicle for them yes I am crazy on that part. And warranty stuff ain't no good anyway I don't know why they charge you for that. I'm going to take this car back up on that parking lot and push it and leave it there. I want to be a part of that lawsuit also. Had to buy time we have to have the card they don't charge you any good on a car when I sold it. They are bad people that's all I got to say.
I pray to God that I can come out of this situation..

Drivetime

Honestly, I'm wondering what hell is going on here. Why hasn't consumer affairs looked at Drivetime? I need or need to become a Ralph Nader on this. Im ready to join a present campaign to inform the public. 313-409-7736 contact me if someone has a plan of action. I'm hoping I can convince a few shakers and movers I know how to reach to get onboard with this. (As we speak) I would suggest that we all do the same, post blogs, social media post, get information to your state and federal attorney generals office, contact local news media, send emails (more than one the cable news networks)

Drivetime

It's the same story. Drivetime sells a lemon that stayed in repair longer than I had to drive. Meineke didn't keep proper paper work. They just got tired of fixing it. Demanded I sign a release of the vehicle or hold me accountable for the financed car. What a scam. Took 3 thousand dollars. Lost my job over this. Almost my apartment. Missed several job opportunities. And I got was scammed and threatened. In looking for a lawyer. Is there a class action suit? I'm going after them regardless. News media, state attorney general. Create my own blog. Ivreally didn't know what I was paying for. My car was always in the shop. The worst of it? I did some research and found out they did this before with the SAME CAR. Seriously. I won't say where I got the info pending possible lawsuit, but yeah, what kind of business is that?

Lemon Car

Leased a vehicle from Drivetime Sept 30,2016 in Highland In just 3 days in the vehicle the engine locks. Sent to repair shop and was told the Chevy Impala needs a brand new engine. When the vehicle stalled and shut off I was in the passing lane with my 7 yr old daughter who was traumatized by this incident. I am also 5 months pregnant and a disabled veteran. We were stranded for 4 hours because they lied about towing being in the warranty. I looked up all the lemon laws for my state and have been advised that this Corporation is ranked 2nd for lemon cars. They have changed their name twice! I have contacted a attorney and I hope they are able to assist me in suing Drivetime for this lemon car.My child and I could've been killed. This is truly unacceptable. Their commercial needs to be pulled from tv and internet and they need to be shutdown entirely!

Sold a lemon

I purchased a 2011 Chevy Traverse 4/2016. Had to put it in the shop 2 weeks after purchase. Car was losing power while being driven and puttering like it was about to cut off. After putting it in the shop they sent me to, they replaced the battery saying that was the problem. after picking it up from the shop I continued to have the same problem. The car went back to the shop 6/2016 with the same problems. Was in the shop for 3 days before that shop told me that it had to be sent to another shop because they don't handle engine problems. It was taken to the next shop and sat there for a week before i was told it has carbon build up in the fuel injectors. The warranty company didn't want to pay for those repairs however i found out that they authorized the repairs and then changed the authorization after i called in and requested a rental car. Bridgecrest later spoke with them getting them to pay for the service however that didn't fix the problem. I was told by the repair shop that they were just doing different things to try to find the problem because nothing seems to be working. After 2 weeks at that shop i was told to come and pick it up. I didn't drive out of the repair shops parking lot before it lost power again. At that point I was referred to the Chevrolet dealership who couldn't take the car until the next week. So I had this car parked outside of my house that I couldn't drive. It ended up going to the dealership the end of June where it has been until today 10/6/2016 where I was just called and told it has been repo'ed. The entire time it has been in the shop I have been speaking with the warranty company and the finance company as well as the dealership and everyone has tried to pass the buck and the blame to the ext person however I am still without a car and they want me to make the payments on a car I can't drive plus they expected me to pay for the repairs after I spent over $2000 for an extended warranty that covers nothing. I have voice recording of every phone call that was made as well as received from the finance company and the warranty company as well as the repair companies. Please add me to your class action lawsuit asap.

Sold me a mechanical nightmare

I purchased a 2006 Chevy Cobalt from Drivetime on June 1, 2016, and week later it started having transmission problems. I called Drivetime and they put me in contact with their warranty company, who then sent me to one of their authorized repair shops. I was told that the repair shop wouldn't take the required photos to prove there was issues with the car. I was forced to drive the car past the 30 return period while dealing with Drivetime, the warranty company, and the repair shop, trying to get the car fixed or replaced. I have been without a vehicle for 3 weeks now. I continue to get nothing but the run around.

I bought a 2006 BMW 325I in December 2015, since then, I have had to replace the serpentine belt and pulley at my own expense since the warranty did not cover it, and that was in March 2016. I had taken my car into their Service Center to avoid having to pay $100 deductible for transmission sticking in gear on May 4th, 2016, was told my car was fine, then July 11th, 2016, had to take my car back to the same service center due to the transmission was sticking in gear again, was told computer had to be reset and car was fine, the next day July 12th, it was stuck in gear again while on way to work. I had to take my car back to them on the 13th, while still stick in gear. On July 19th they called and said my car ready, it had to get a new transmission, covered by warranty. I got a lift to their location, about 15 miles from my work, just to get there to find out that the transmission light was still on. They put the car back in their shop and said they were going to keep it again and send to BMW this time to see whats wrong. They have had the car since and today it 8/10/16. Come to find out the new transmission had a bad pan and they had to replace the water pump. But, after those repairs were done, they told me that the gear shift installation was broke and I would have to pay $1000 for the repair or the transmission light would never go off. They have had my car for over 30 days, that I now have to pay for parts they broke while my car was in their care. They did not know, but I have GPS on my car and found out that on 8/6/16, someone used my car, while still broken, for personal use and also was going over 75 miles an hour for over an hour in my car. But again, they claim they did not break the gear shifter

Drive time sold me a vehical with a cracked engine!!

I bought a 2007 Cadillac SRT from drive time in March of this year. Not even a month later I began to have issue with the car. Not sure what it was at frist I called there so call warranty they told me to take the car in to one of there mechanics that works with there stupid warranty. The mechanic told me we were driving with no oil. Which is crazy since my husband had check it prior to us taking it in. Drive time warranty did not cover the diagnostic fee and we had to pay 50.00 then they wanted 300.00 to put oil. At first we thought Drive time had put the wrong oil and not systemic oil. So we filled the truck with system oil. Then 2 months later again problems with the truck and one again was told to take it back to a mechanic were they old us it needed oil again. After being told the same thing twice I took it to my own mechanic were i was told i have a cracked engine the oil is leaking into my gas and leaking out of my engine!!! No wonder i was not keeping any oil and going through gas like crazy. Now I am stock with a shity truck, lost on what to do. Need advise.

Sign up for class action lawsuit

In October 2015 my daughter went to Drive Time to purchase a vehicle. Her sales rep told her due to her credit score not being great she would have to pay a higher down payment unless she had a co-signer. I went to co sign after work. After my credit was ran I was told it would be better if I was the lead on the car as my credit was stronger. I said that can't be possible with my income to own two cars as I had just brought a new 2015 Malibu and my chapter 7 was discharged in 2015. He said "oh you can, and once you have had it a couple of months just bring your daughter in and we can transfer the car to her name. Well it is now August which is more than a few months and they told her they do not transfer car loans. I said the devil is a liar as that is what the sales rep said.

Then she said well can I trade it for another car and get my name added. They said no not unless you owe less than $2000. I am more than pissed as we were lied to, had to have breaks replaced after 2 months as the mechanic asked if the car was purchased up north as there was a lot of water damage and rust inside the wheels which is signs the car had been immersed in water. Then to say they don't want to trade it or do what they originally said. The only reason I have not dropped it off as I do not want a negative on my credit.

Please add me to lawsuit and help me with this matter. [email protected]

Kind regards.
