Car was totaled on a saturday, first thing monday I got a rental with enterprise, who informed me that all i needed to do to use thier car on the 161 Toll was to call NTTA and tell them, I have a rental and here is the make/model and plate number. And I did THAT morning of 2/11/2013, i distinctly remember cause I went to get checked out by my chiropracter first thing, and I was on the phone with them in the waiting room !! Later that day, the car was making a noise, and enterprose let me exchange it for another, which I also called NTTA about and gave them the information of THAT 2nd car, put it in everything was good for the next 2 weeks when I returned the rental on 3/1. I received a loaner from the dealership with its own tolltag, and didn't need to give them its info, THANK GOD!! On 3/12, I received a charge to my account of 96.23 from Enterprise, when i spoke to them, they said it was for the tolls and to call the corporate in NY which is where they handle that, and that it was also possible to get reimbursed If i can show my toll history. According to the online history for my rental vehicles between 2/11 and 3/1, there were no charges !! no record of me using the tolls at all. I drive from Grand Prairie to Denton 5 days a week for school, I use the hell out of them. When I called NTTA to ask them about it, they claim they haven't seen anything like this, and asked me for the rental plate numbers, maybe they were entered incorrectly. I dug around and found my enterprise paperwork, called them back and exaplained my dilemma yet again only to be told that, I didnt call until the 12th, not the 11th for the first car ( which is BS because by that time i was already driving the 2nd car, and the time stamp he told me the call was made was right smack dab in the middle of my first class that day 8:36 !!) Then I was told the the second plate number was completely diff from what i gave them the first time, excuse me? what I gave you? Not " diff from what we show in the system", but a flat out accusation that I gave them the wrong numbers. Fine whatever, here is the correct plate, find the car and fix this. Well we can't, you are liable for theses charges, but if the plate numbers had been only off by a 1 or 2 letters/numbers, they consider it a human error and will right it then. So basically they will do it if it looks like they screwed up, they are capable of going back into the previous weeks and retrieving those tolls but, not if their reps are completly incompetent!! None of the dates, times, tolls, notes, phone calls or charges added up, I told him their system is SHIT, because the only detail that is correct is when I ended the rental, how convenient that is!! I also found the following brochure from enterprise, which explains why my charges were so high. Turns out there is a charge for each day a toll is made on there rentals of $2.00 per day x 2 weeks = $28, on top of the $68.23 from tolls alone with the Zip Cash amount, my charge of $96.23. There is NO DOUBT here that they scam, and bank on these extra fees. I would also suggest that if you do need to use a rental on the Toll road to check online and make sure they have entered the rental AND that is was done correctly, or else you could end up like me. Because not one CSR rep ever mentioned to me that there was no toll activity the 5 or 6 plus times i called them between the 2nd rental car and the time the charge showed up.
