High rent for such a crappy building. The worst thing is the rudeness of the building manager/superintendent. She ('L') is the rudest person I've ever encountered. She treats tenants horribly and is a racist. There is insufficient heating in the apartments during the brutal winter months and whenever somebody complains of this problem, "L" somehow manages to show her prejudice side towards her tenants by telling the them that this is not their native country and that they should be wearing thermal clothings, socks and hat inside their apartment lf they feel cold. For such an awful attitude from the building manager, most of the tenants have bought portable heaters to stay warm during the winter months. The elevators right extremely old and slow and get stuck sometimes. For this reason, I've started taking stairs as I don't want to get stuck in the elevators. There really mice in all the apartments. I hope the "city" or the government takes action against the metcap management and save the poor tenants from getting ripped of by metcap.

There seems to be a widespread misconception about racism. It is not illegal to be racist, it is one's right to be, but it is illegal to discriminate on that basis in business. The remark about wearing warm clothing does not strike me as being a racist remark, I have said practically the same thing to my tenants whose heat bill I pay, and they are the same race and ethnicity as myself.
