Sedgwick takes care of short term/long term disability claims for 3M Minneapolis, Minnesota. I opened a claim on February 1, 2016 for a sudden pain radiating down my left arm and finally it was determined that I have a spur in my cervical spine that is impinging on neural foramen. I also have significant degenerative changes in the cervical region. Currenting I am on active PT therapy and possible surgery in the near future. I am unable to move my head/neck region. My physician has supported this condition and his letters to Disability indicated that I cannot work. I also have major issues with my lumbar spine, Meniere's as well as several other health issues. Needless to say Sedgwick, has denied my short term disability claim.

I am employee for 3M Health Information Systems in Salt Lake City for 26 years and very proud of my company's reputation and it's ethical reputation.

Since I have been researching Sedgwick's reputation on the internet, I find it difficult understand why 3M continues to do business with this company. It is time for 3M to review and investigate these denial as well as this company's reputation. I also have concerns that if an individual is of retirement age that this may be their reason for denial in hopes that employees file for retirement instead of pursuing their disability claim.
