I have been a policy holder with Aflac for several years. I signed a new policy that became effective 1/1/2017. I was not pregnant at this time and have hospital proof of this. According to my policy it must be 10 months before Aflac would cover this. The 10 month date would be Oct 1st. My "ESTIMATED" due date was Sept 29th. I was induced due to medical risk on Sept 22nd and Aflac has now denied my claim stating "we only go off of delivery date and not actual due date." I did not get diagnosed as being pregnant until Feb 6th 2017. Judging by the extremely close dates the denial of this claim is unethical.
