Sir,
I have raised a request for cancellation of my above mentioned datacard (9840259366) on April 6, 2014 and received the following message from you. I have paid the full outstanding due on the very same day to take up my request. The request was taken up with service request No. 55759921 on the same day i.e. 06.04.2014.
Thereafter, Airtel customer care team called me regarding cancellation and also proposed for temporary suspension since we were out of country and will be back to India in another three months. He also told us that there is no need to pay any charges for such temporary suspension and we agreed for the same.
But in a very lethargic manner, the company has sent a bill dated 6th May for a sum of Rs.974/-. When I contacted your customer care personnel, I was informed that the datacard is still active and is being kept active on my request. There is no response for any of my queries thereafter from the airtel customer care team.
It is pertinent to note that I have travelled to UK on 07.04.2014 and I have no use of the datacard whatsoever in India. It can very well be seen from the usage of the datacard for the whole month being 182 KB. Even the Airtel customer care personnel spoke to me when I was in UK sometime between 8th and 11th of April, 2014. No prudent man will accept to retain the datacard when it is of no use and pay to a tune of Rs.974/- per month.
I am in no way responsible for this callous attitude by Airtel company and not liable to pay even a single penny. Therefore, I sent an email to airtel customer care to withdraw the bill dated 07.05.2014 and cancel the datacard vide my request dated 06.04.2014 and also requested them to preserve the concerned call records showing that it is based on my consent you have kept the datacard active.
I can be contacted at my email
[email protected] or my mobile no. 0044 7424343628. I will not be available in my indian mobile number.
Take necessary action to withdraw the bill dated May 7, 2014 and cancel the datacard as requested by me on April 6, 2014. Looking for a positive reply.
Radhakrishnan
