There are so many complaints against this airline alleging everything from employees being abusive to passengers; unsafe aircraft; delayed/canceled flights with no notification; leaving passengers stranded, hidden fees, etc. I can only tell you about our experience. We booked a flight to Sanford FL on October 18, 2015 along with car rental for the amount of $1003.00. Our flight was to depart January 17, 2016. Ten days prior to leaving my husband was diagnosed as having a mass which had collapsed his lung. The specialist forbid him to travel. This mass has been diagnosed as cancer. We requested a refund. Instead, we were issued a VOUCHER in the amount of $635.00 to be used by OCTOBER 18, 2016 and is nontransferable. A question I posed on the Allegiant Air complaint board was, "Why is Allegiant Air EXEMPT from the Airline Passenger Fair Treatment Act which is reported to extend into 2018?" It was deleted from there so I will post here hoping it will remain. All one has to do is Google Allegiant Air Complaints to see the number of complaints to include their own pilots complaining of unsafe aircraft. Could their huge profit, for 2015, be the result of their EXEMPTION??
