My sister and I had my father's heart surgery (mitral valve replacement) done with Vijay Diksith. He was highly recommended doctor in his field. Several of my friends recommended him.
We thought he did a good job. Fifteen days after the surgery I left for USA and my sister stayed back in India. She lives in UK. My sister noticed my father was suffering from shivering and fever. She called dr. Vijay Dikshith to explore the problem. dr. Vijay Dikshith bluntly refused to had my father get admitted into the emergency and treat him for the after surgery complications. Then I approached another friend of mine who was trained in USA. He admitted my father and saved his life. It turned out, there was blood leakage after the surgery. Dr. Dikshith did not show any professional or ethical responsibility in treating the after effects of the surgery. He bluntly said to my sister that there were no beds available to admit my father, such a lame and irresponsible answer....
If it were in USA or in UK, he would have been taken to task. I have observed while talking with several Indian doctors in India, that they had no respect for older life. If a person is older they think it is a bonus to live longer and they don't need to care about the older people. It is okay for them to die,such a bad attitude toward a life. If it were in USA or in UK, no matter how old person is they try to save the life. My father is 82 years old.
the country is well developing but the values are not changing.
