Let's start off with this. I worked at Applebee'soft 9 months and was also part of the original opening crew. I had a double one day, and this day was on a Thursday, but i didn't know i had a double, also being sick i just really wanted to go home. Because at Applebee's they feel it's better for you to come to work throwing up and handling the customers food while sick. Anyways after working my morning shift i left and went home. I don't have a car so my roommate had come to get me before she went to work. Her along with her boyfriend work with me there as well. She took me home and i took medicine and went to sleep as she went to work. I woke up later on that night and didn't have a missed call from work. My roommate came in and asked if i wanted to go to applebee's and eat with her and i said yes. When we went up there to eat, no one had said anything to me about me having to work that night. So i went on with my night. I was off the next day which was Friday and then had ANOTHER DOUBLE Saturday. When i went in for my double they pulled me into the office and fired me right away. Now how is this wrongful firing you may ask? Well now here is where i explain my two roommates that worked there with me. one of them had her last no call no show, and wasn't fired and still had her job, but me i get fired. My other roommate is caught smoking weed in the back while still on the clock, but guess what he didn't get fired. But as for me i miss part of a shift, that they didn't even bother to call me for and i get fired. could i sue for wrongful termination?
