I am a recent 3.68 GPA doctoral student who was waiting to hear from the Internal Revenue Board when I was withdrawn from Argosy University Atlanta. My story is a long one. So, you will be told bits and pieces of my unsuccessful journey at this University.

My most damaging negative situation started when changes took place at Argosy University Atlanta in the fall of 2013 after submitting Chapters 1, 2 and 3 of my dissertation. I was informed during the beginning of the next semester (January 2014) that I had to go back and submit each chapter separately with references to the Internal Review Board for approval. This process was inconsistent. I did not hear any decision from this Board after submitting each chapter. But I spoke with a former Professor and I finally successfully defended my first three chapters July 2014. I was finally moving forward so I thought. All I had to do was to get my research done and complete Chapters 4 and 5 before my Final Defensr. So, why have I not graduated with my doctorate in Educational Leadership by now? You tell me.

I do not owe any money - my financial aid loan money paid for each semester that I was enrolled. We have gone back and forth through a process for the last six semesters.

I did appeal my withdrawals. Yes, I had two Appeal Hearings. The first one, I was permitted to continue with the stipulation of working closely with my Chair. So, I did. My Chair decided that I needed to change my methodology in Chapter 3 in December 2015 per advice from either the College Review Board or the Internal Revenue Board. I was given an April deadline to get the changes submitted back tomy Chair in order for everything to be resubmitted back to IRB. But, I was withdrawn APRIL 2016. So, I appealed and went through the Appeals process for a 2nd time. My withdrawal was uphelded by the Committee. I then decided to appeal to the President and I recently received his decision which was to uphold the decision of the Appeals Committee. How many people do you know who has been this close to receiving their doctorate but was withdrawn from the University? One for sure now... me.

I have lost all respect for ARGOSY University Atlanta. Time was not on my side and they took advantage of it and me. Even though I have been knocked down, I am not out. I cannot recommend this educational institution of higher learning to anyone. And, yes I want to be apart of the class action lawsuit against Argosy University. They have taken my money and have not provided the appropriate services for my success. They are misrepresenting their worth to society.
