I recently got a 3 month/3000 miles up to $1000 in parts and repair costs warranty by ASC after purchasing a used vehicle. The dealer was selling lots of these warranties off of claiming they basically cover any and all repairs which I was soon to find out was not true. My check engine light came on a few days after I got my warranty I had it diagnosed and it turned out to be the transmission speed sensor which was a quick easy fix. I was at an ASE accredited repair shop part was in stock and the work was ready to be done but to my surprise when the representative at the shop called to verify the part and repair would be covered, it was not. I was shocked I had a useless warranty and wasted money. These warranties are being shopped around as being the best but these warranties have a lot of loopholes they use to get out of fixing major components that could go wrong with a vehicle. Though the input shaft of my transmission was covered the part that is part of the input shaft was not. This had me totally floored a lot of consumers have purchased this warranty under the idea they are actually covered but in actuality they're not and will be footing the bill with a useless piece of paper.
