I was wondering how I could get in or find information about this lawsuit. I attended Ashford and when I left they told me I owed them for my final class some how my amount has changed three times before they finally called me telling me it was going to go to collection I really wish I would of done my research on them before I jumped in. But they made it seem like it was an amazing school. My refunds never came back how they were suppose to and I had to go in and change additional information after receiving they word that it was on the way. I used 99% of my Post 9/11 GI Bill for "education" through Ashford University. I haven't been able to get a job in the related field and I feel that my education that is paid through serving this nation in the Armed Forces has been taken away.

I signed up for Ashford University online program, they told me everything I wanted to hear, I notated all of their comments about tuition and fees and how long it would take to complete, they assured me they were fully accredited and that I would secure a job soon after I received my degree... that has yet to happen, I was never told they were for profit, I owe 70k on a bachelors degree that no one will honor. Seeing the lawsuit only clarifies that I am not the only one that was misled and I am seeking attorneys to help me join that lawsuit.

Ashford is a huge ripoff and is terribly mismanaged. I was enrolled and funded as a 1st year student. When I realized I was not going to have enough aid to get me to the next year I contacted the school. It took them months to come up with an explanation. Shortly thereafter I found myself un-enrolled. I was advised to schedule my next course and that would trigger a review of my financial aid, resulting in the correct amount of aid. But, in the meantime because I was now unenrolled they had recalculated my Financial Aid for the credits I had completed. As a result they returned $1356that they had received for the courses I had completed, and then sent me a bill expecting me still pay $1356

I would like to know how I can be included in the class actions lawsuit.

I am a former Ashford University student that was duped into attending their school with promises and promises of a education and a great job opportunity. Needless to say I got neither, after many many fees and classes that seemed to be way over priced I had to drop out after 3 years because I just could not afford to keep pouring money into the school, I had to take classes over again several times because of issues that they said were my grades, I disagreed and even launched a complaint with my academic adviser on several occasions for unfair grading etc. Also I was promised to be enrolled in a military spouse program where I was suppose to receive discounts and even some tuition paid through the MYCCA and after my second year I realized I was not getting this tuition assistance, when I inquired about why I was not enrolled in this program like I was promised they simply said my case was mishandled and that it was not too late because my husband had advanced in rank so I was now no longer qualified for the program, that was nearly two years I could have had a lot of my tuition paid for, but instead I had to take out student loans which I can not pay for, my student loan debt is upward of $50,000 from them. My total student loan debt is much more because of parent plus loans for my daughter, but had Ashford University taken care of things and not done what they did, I wouldn't have had much student loan debt from attending their school. I came across an article recently about the class action lawsuit against them, and was curious why I was not notified. I would like info if at all possible about how I may get in on the class action suit if not to late. Thank you.

I need Ashford University to send a copy of my transcript to my local university where I can precede my certification. I have gotten my degree about two years from Ashford university. At this moment I am not able to use my degree until Ashford University send a copy of my transcript to my local university where I can work on my certification. I am really of needing my transcript where I can continual my degree. When I first start on my degree with Ashford, I was told my degree in Elementary will cost me around $40,000. When I enrolled in Ashford University a year ago they told me that I would have enough money to obtain my bachelors degree now that I am about to start my core classes they advised me that I did not have enough money to graduate. I don't know what to do I don't have any money left.

I have been trying to re-enter into university over past 10 months since Oct 2013. They indicate they will not let me enter due to a past due balance I could not pay because I was not working. I indicated my financial hardship and they are now threatening to send it to a collection agency that could charge up to 33.33% interest. I have only two classes left to graduate, one I am in a grade appeal with and then only one more class left to take. They indicated that financial aid would cover my expenses for the tuition and fees and for some reason now I cannot use the funds allotted by the US government of Education. I have my BS from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and am a registered and licensed professional in dietetics who is trying to obtain graduate MBA. I cannot believe all the email harassments and inability to work with students who have an economic hardship. The US Dept of Edu student loans has never given me a problem. I would like to finish, but am not sure I will be able to as they are now threatening turning it into a collection agency. I hope to have a resolution and restitution for what I have had to experience over the past 10 months. I have contacted the class action lawyers for this case and hope that they are able to help all of the students at Ashford who are having such a horrible experience with the financial aid and resolution departments at Ashford University.

I transferred to Ashford in 2012, and I had no problems with them when it came to Financial Aid. Now that I am about to graduate in July 2014. All of a sudden I don't have enough funds to cover my last 3 classes. I have been asking question since October of 2013 and they kept telling me my funds should be disbursed soon. Nothing I am into the next year, I received another Advisor that don't know nothing. He told me my funds will be disbursed in March of 2014 well March has came and went so I emailed and called he finally got back to me and told me that my account was pending! Well I am in my last classes My last 3 classes were already registred. So when I called and complained about my Financial Aid the customer service rep asked me why they did not put me on a payment plan they never asked me so when I inquired about it they told me it is only for people that has an outstanding balance mind you I just started a class that tuesday it was already Wedenesday the Advisor that I talked to was not my advisor but he went in and took me off my other classes and also told me they were going to lock me out of my class as of that Friday which was the April 11, 2014 so my bill has went from $681.00 to $6,089.00 and he also told me that I can pay $2700 walk away for free if I drop out or borrow from my family or get a personal loan.None of the above was optional. all of a sudden they took 2 of my classes off and froze my account. I called to get my transcript they froze me out of my transcript and registration I am supposed to be done in July with my Bachelor Degree in Health Care Administration and I already have a job lined up once I completed the degree now I have nothing because of the lack of communication that this school does if I did not keep asking what is going on they would have kept it just like that . The customer service told me that they sent me a letter telling me that I was at my limit of my aggregated loans mind you this was April 9,10,11 of 2014 I just got a denial letter in my email April 29,2014 so not only did they lie this school is not good.. I need help because I need to graduate. And when I called Sallie Mae they told me that they do not even deal with Ashford students for personal loans not good. I am very angry.... Beside that they added $21.00 3 times because tution went up and they also charge me $150.00 for a graduation that I will not be attending..

There is so much I do not know where to start.

I received notification from the Registrar's Office at Ashford University this morning stating that I am being dismissed due to non receipt of my transcripts. However, I received prior written notification from Ashfords Registrar's Office that they had in fact received my transcripts and that everything was fine. I have tried to contact the school but have yet to receive a response.

This organization is a travesty to the educational process. We have received menacing, rude, and inconsiderate phone calls as the result of inquiry into their program. This has gone on for months. The representatives from this school are pushy, disrespectful, and will answer for the last call I received from them. If you value your education and future, do yourself a favor and do not get involved with this so-called school.

I have had horrific customer service through Ashford University. I only switched to Ashford because of the customer service I did receive and was assured that everything will go smoothly; and I wouldn't need to send any information for the questions I has asked the enrollment advisor back in June 2008.

Since the end of June, I began the process of the run around concerning the financial aid. I sent Ashford the information requested; and again the informed me all is well. Every month it has been something else. Then I ended up FAXing, emailing, and telephoning the same things repeatedly. Each time all was fine; when reality it wasn't. Every month turned into every week to every three days.

Today is the 2nd of December 2008, and still the financial aid issues not resolved. I was threatened back in October that I will be blocked from taking classes if I didn't cooperated. I've been cooperating in sending them the same information more than three times.

I've called, emailed, and FAX with these people about the situation. I repeatedly requested the University's presidents name and communication really stopped with the advisor. Nobody seems to ignore the fact that I want to contact the president of Ashford to voice my complaints.

I was tired of the run around. I've had this same issue since June 2008 and here it is the beginning of December 2008. I also want Ashford to refund me the time I spent fighting with them over the same issue and for the ink and paper I used unnecessarily. The financial issue still hasn't been resolved. I want it resolved and correct. I've been more than faithful to these people.

I informed them as many times I've emailed, telephoned, and FAXed, they would make sure my issues would be top priority and resolved. The processing department has been too many people involved with my personal information and this really concerns me. I have requested for a supervisor to take over months ago and still nothing. So I hope this will be resolved once this is posted. It's not fair to me at all.

Ashford University has taken all the excitement away for returning back to school. I really need this issue resolved. I also better receive better customer service and more concern. Only one person apologized to me; but it's not enough anymore. I want to see actions. I also informed Ashford that I should be treated as if I was there in person.

I have been a student with Ashford since 2009. When I started everything started fine all was good paper work and pell was in. Once I was half way through the year they were calling me, emailing me and you name it asking for documents that I was already sent. Then they started telling me that there was no money and that I had to pay 2, 000 out of pocket because I did not want to take out a loan. Then I spoke to a supervisor and she fixed everything so I thought, come to find out 2 months later they started again. It was fixed numerous amount of times and still the same crap. After awhile they left me alone once I was almost over with my degree they asked me for about 3, 500 I was upset I paid it because I just wanted to get it over with. I decided to give this school another try. I started my Bachelors degree in Dec 2011 everything was good and up to date. I started my class in January and about two weeks into the class I get a phone call saying that I have to pay 750 up front. I paid it and now two months later I am being told that I have to pay 1, 500 for my classes ahead of time. When I logged into my class I seen that my scheduled classes were all taken off and then about 5 hours later I find out that I am being kicked out of my class 3 weeks into the class. Basically the school wants me to take out a loan so that they can control my money. I have to say that this school doesn't manage the money correctly and that financial people switch about every 3 weeks making it harder for students. Due to always having to explain your situation and what you were told by another financial person.
I can never seem to find the deans number nor the supervisor who is in charged of the financial aid department. Basically its just a waist to deal with this school unless you have a lot of money to waist and you like the back and forwards thing.

Well as suspected it’s well over the 14 days than me hearing some kind of resolution process to solve my problems with Ashford university, I can honestly say I find my self facing a complete withdrawl from the school and that’s a real shame, but that is the breaks with these online college programs that carry policies that are only focus for your credit and your money than education that suppose to help you achieve some success no matter what!
