This agency was recommended by a friend. Instead of asking me to come to her office to select a maid, the agent chose to discuss in the public open area saying her office is closed at 5pm. She had only 1 biodata and had confirmed that one for me. This incident happened sometime Aug 2012. I paid $700 deposit. I did not hear from this lady for the next 3 months. After several chase, she send me another maid's biodata. Despite telling her that I need a fresh maid, knowing that the maid had worked in Singapore illegally and is well known to places and people in Singapore, she send this person to me who later decided she cannot work for me (my family with 2 children and 3 adults living in a 4 room hdb flat). In just 1.5 day, she wanted to leave for India for no reason. The agent came to fetch her back and kept her for almost 2 months making me to pay the levy. Also promised that she will get me another maid as replacement since the fault is not on me. In total, I lost $700 deposit, $235 levy monies I paid and have been chasing her since then to either find me a replacement or refund the monies. She had promised but no action. I have health issues and needing a helper for a long time since my 15 years trained maid went back to India for good. Before I take this matter to the court, I wish to know if this complaint board can help to expedite the matter.
