I suspected for some time that AT&T was overcharging me for texts by charging me, for example, for 3 texts when I only sent 1 to 1 person. I also have had charges come up for no reason at all. A couple of days ago I sent 1 text to 2 recipients. I ended up being charged 6 times @ $.20. Should have been 2 times at $.20. So, my suspicions were correct. They have been ripping me off for a long time. I called them and the guy very graciously returned $5.00 to my account - you know, a little extra. Geez! I figure it is too late to figure out all of the other times they ripped me off so I took the $5.00 and will just have to keep track of every single text, call, charge, etc. What a racket!!! Is there a lawsuit out there or anything? I'm a senior and I figure these pay as you go deals are fairly often used by older people who may not realize that they are being ripped off, people on fixed incomes or those who are otherwise economically disadvantaged. I find this to be really disturbing.

The AT&T software for all of the AT&T Go-Phone users is designed to steal your money. Picture DSC02A is a call for 3 minutes and 41 seconds, with a charge of 10 cents per minute. Picture DSC02B is the charge of 50 cents for a 4 minute call. Now, Picture DSC03A is a call that lasted just 49 seconds, with a charge of 20 cents as shown in Picture DSC03B. AT&T will overcharge on every call. The text entry with the charges is then erased after being received by the customer to cover AT&T tracks. Now in Picture DSC012 is a "GHOST CHARGE" that was received at 1:11 A.M. where "No Calls Were made or Received" by the customer. AT&T "Consumer Fraud" What Do You Think?
