In 2013 I purchased a spyware product. In 2014 they auto re-renwed. Product purchased was for 2 computers. After numerous tech support could not get product to work on 1 of the 2 computers. I had to purchase another product but had to pay for the Bitdefender anyhow. I tried to dispute charges but due to calling tech support could not. So I changed my credit card number so they could not charge me in the future. In 2015 I. Never ordered or used Avangate Bitdefender product I never gave them my NEW credit card number but yet was charged AGAIN!
What truly concerns me is how did they get my new credit card number? I use a free product of Windows. I never purchased or put I my new credit card number. I found out when I called the number on the credit card statement that Avangate Bitdefender that Avangate is what they call a partner company. I asked for their phone number. However when calling Avangates number I timed the wait and was over 30 mins. And during this 30 min. Hold periodic message " press 1 to receive a call back with in one hour to avoid Wait time the same pre- time". After pressing the 1 I did receive a call back from a recording that all people are busy and the repeat of pressing 1 option. But when you press 1 this time nothing works and you are left on hold again. Never reached Avangate to ask them how they got my NEW credit card number that I changed the year before to avoid another change for a product that I got charged for the previous year that I could not use. How is this company getting away with this type of poor business practices"?????????
