your files have been hacked
I was contacted by "James" and "Thomas Serville" claiming that you (Avangate) no longer were licensed to operate in Canada, and that they were authorized to refund my money, as the license had expired before the final date of my contract. When they "transferred the sum from the Chase Manhattan bank" to my account, they 'accidentally' transferred $1000 too much, and I was to reimburse them by sending a moneygram to a foreign country. When I enquired at my bank if it was not possible to simply transfer back to Chase Manhattan, it was discoveed that they had accessed my accounts and transferred the cash from my savings to my checquing account. They were requesting that I "reimburse" them with my own money. I had believed them to be legitimate because they had all the information that you have on file. Either you have been hacked, or someone within your company has set up a sideline of fraudulent activity. While I don't expect my money back, ($265 Cdn for a second 9 months' protection plus the $124 Cdn that I paid to have my computer cleansed of all the software "your" people installed on my laptop), I would like you to ensure that other customers are not similarly defrauded.
