Hey so i couldn't help but notice all the similarities in these complaints. I attended the Aveda Institute in Davie, FL. They ended up terminating me on unfair grounds when i was about 50% done with the program. They told me they were suspending me for three days; which i understand because i had an emotional breakdown in front of the clients; but then they later expelled me for no reason after the 3 days were over. I went to the school to talk about what happened and they told me i was terminated and wouldn't tell me why. So i called my mom and they told her that i threatened to kill someone. This was a complete lie. I am not that type of person, i am a pacifist, i know that i didn't say that. When i told them they were lying they told me not to raise my voice or talk to them like that. I was not raising my voice i was simply trying to speak while crying. My loved ones know me as a person and couldn't believe their accusations. They expelled me on unjust terms without letting me contradict their statement. I then realized that the only reason of termination is if i was a threat to the other students. They pretty much lied and accused me of something i would never say in order to have the right to expel me. I realized that they only suspended me for 3 days so i would pass that 50% mark, and they could receive the full tuition. Well they sure dont know me, and i am filing a lawsuit against them for unfair termination. They not only expelled me, they insulted me and treated me like criminal when i went to speak with them after my 3 days. They followed me with educators and wouldn't let me make a simple phone call to my mother without standing over my shoulders. I am no threat and that was a serious accusation. There is no reason they should be able to get away with taking my hard earned money. If anything i said in this letter relates to your experiences, please contact me.
