Back in 2013 I paid $5000 to have crystal lens multifocal lenses implanted in my eyes because I had cataracts removed. I was still young and didn’t want to wear glasses. I was NOT told about the fact that they cannot be removed if I had issues. There was a Bausch & Lomb representative there to take notes as these were fairly new and she assured me they were great. 6 years later I couldn’t see out of them anymore. I was seeing lines and my eyes were blurry. I had to have a laser (yag) procedure to loosen up the scar tissue as they were squeezing the lens out of place and I was looking through the edge or side of the lens. Once that was done I had to buy glasses because it did not restore my vision. The lenses were a waste of money and doctors will not remove them because they can be difficult and cause permanent eye damage since they are adhered to my eyes now. It’s been a year since I bought glasses and I’m already having trouble seeing again. I hope I don’t have to have more laser done because each time it dries my eyes out more and more. This whole thing has been a fiasco.
