Harrased

Was at Willowbrook Mall on my way to meet my husband when slammed by a salesperson grabbing my arm saui saying let me show you something lo long and short she made half my face and held me, hostage, to finish the other side until I bought even after repeatedly telling her I had to go 238.00 later I finally got the other side done looking like a clown I walked out NEVER have I felt bullied until that day I repeatedly told her I was retired and on a fixed income did not matter to her just the sale finally my husband came and meet me I have to say worst experience in my life was that day rest assured there had better not be any extra charges on my credit card I have zero problem with having her arrested and held the company liable with a lawsuit for credit card fraud

SCAM

I WAS VERY ILL WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I AM NOT TALKING FLU, I HAVE BEEN VERY ILL FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. I DECIDED TO STOP AT THE MALL JUST TO BE AROUND PEOPLE AND THOUGHT IT WOULD LIFT MY SPIRITS. SO IT WAS VERY APPARENT THAT I WAS NOT WELL AT THE TIME. I WAS SNATCHED OUT OF A CROWD AND WAS BULLIED INTO MAKING A PURCHASE. SOMEHOW, THEY ENDED UP WITH MY CREDIT CARD AND ENDED UP CHARGING ME $800 FOR FOUR PRODUCTS. I NEVER SPEND MONEY ON BEAUTY PRODUCTS. WHEN I TOOK BACK THE PRODUCTS, HE POINTED TO A SIGN WHICH I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE DENNYING REFUNDS, I GOT VERY UPSET. HE STARTED SCREAMING AT ME AND CURSING ME. I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THIS FOR MONTHS. THESE CONS KNOW HOW TO WORK THE LEGAL SYSTEM SO THAT THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS. THIS COMPANY TARGETS OLDER WOMEN. SO BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL AND AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE

CHARGE $800 FOR WHAT I AM NOT SURE

I WAS GOING THROUGH TREATMENT AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. I WAS GRAPED OUT OF A CROWD AND MADE TO STAY SEATED - OVERTIME I TRIED TO LEAVE I WOULD BE BULLIED BACK DOWN. I JUST WANTED TO GET AWAY FROM THEM. I AM NOT SURE HOW THEY GOT MY CREDIT CARD, I DO REMEMBER THEM TELLING ME I WAS SIGNING FOR A CREDIT ON MY CARD. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I GOT HOME AND REALIZED THAT I HAD BEEN CHARGED $800 FOR 4 PRODUCTS. I WENT BACK THE NEXT DAY, THE SALESMAN SCREAMED AND CURSED AT ME. I AM AN OLDER WOMAN WHO WAS SERIOUSLY ILL AT THE TIME AND I WAS TARGETED BY THIS COMPANY. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL THESE ARE NOT GOOD PEOPLE.

CON ARTISTS

So I was walking with my younger sister through the mall and some foreign men handed me a flyer from the store, me , being polite, took it which is when he stopped me and asked us to come in. Me, being polite again, said okay and sat down where he rubbed exfoliating gel on my hand and I thought it was great but for 140$ not so great. I POLITELY said no, but thank you I have to go which is when he kept pushing me saying okay 99$, okay 75$ and I said no no no! I was trying to leave and he kept pushing me and I used the excuse that I was a broke college student. He then took me up to the counter to "show me something" and showed the list price of 489.99 on the website, and said if I don't tell anyone he'll give it to me for 60 no tax, I said 50, and he said okay which he added tax and gave it to me. I asked MANY times what if I'm not satisfied, for a 500$ product there has to be some sort of guarantee right? Basically they mentioned something about a free facial and I will be satisfied he PROMISED (that's convincing enough because they're OBVIOUSLY trustworthy people lol) and took my card and put it in the machine. I paid, and when I left the receipt said "no refunds" which is why I ASKED what happens if I'm not happy and was never told about the no refunds. So I walked back not 5 minutes later demanding a refund and they said no they cant and tried showing me on the machine and I said I know you can give me cash back because it was debit and he said no he cant, I explained POLITELY that I know they were doing their jobs but I don't feel good about the purchase and felt pressured into it, well the man snapped on me and told me it's my own fault no one typed in my PIN for me. So I asked to call a number and they said there is no number to call but I can leave my name and number for THEM to call? So I did and yelled as I left "make sure to tell people you can't return it you f*cking a**holes!" I am so upset about spending 56$ on a little exfoliant that I found for 37 on Amazon, not to mention they were SO rude to me. DO NOT STOP TO TALK TO THESE PEOPLE.

I was looking through the internet to check on the reviews on the Bella Terra products and I have read most of the complaints and all the conflicts and it's just so sad. In my case, I was the one to approach the kiosk. A girl asked me to sit down and started talking to me about the products. Later on she asked me nicely if she could take half my face make up off and I agreed. She did the make up and I loved it. I was just going to buy the eye shadow and then one of the other girls convinced me to take the foundation too. After I paid, the girl even gave me her phone number to call her if I wanted to buy any more products. She also offered to make the whole make up ( I had just half of my face done with the Bella Terra cosmetics and the other half of my face with my own make up) and I agreed. She was very polite and nice. I really had a GREAT experience at the kiosk! I really consider that the products are fabulous. Although I do know that they are VERY pricey! In my case it's very difficult to find a good match for my skin and I think that their foundation looks great, natural and it blends perfectly with my skin.

Yes, yes and more yes!! God, it's like there's some school somewhere that trains these people to be master manipulators; and a**holes at the same time. I, too, am one more to add to the group. Luckily, my experience was pretty easy for me to gain control of. I guess working in retail and knowing how to haggle helps. I've heard so many horror stories like these, I try to stay pretty suspicious of overly pushy sales people. So, my story goes the same as y'alls. I was firm from the beginning on the fact that I don't wear makeup, even after her reaction ("GASP but mami, why not?? You NEED to!!""Ummm... Thanks?"), so, she went in on the exfoliating gel. I have to admit, I've been looking for a really effective exfoliator for a while (and I'm sick of Neutrogena), so I let her do her spiel. It was an undeniably awesome product. Having also briefly worked at Ulta made that obvious. It also gave me leverage over her. These people really are trained to be as sneaky and manipulative as possible. She also started bashing the products I used in my routine. I took pleasure in being able to correct her after she was trying so hard to sound like a genius. I was instantly hooked on the exfoliating gel, so, we began dealing. She started with $80, I said 'holy crap that's way too much', she said 'for you I do special deal, only $60'. Now, at this point for me is when it gets fun. If a place is willing to give you a (major) discount that quickly without a coupon or some sort of catch, it usually means the haggling is on. I expressed interest in the little bottle, since I assumed it would be cheaper. She said it would be $40 for a little bottle but I would also get a free mini jar of face primer ("You really just can't beat this deal sweetie, and it's TODAY only!!!"). I gently reminded her that I don't wear face makeup and she relented. So, at this point I'm tired, late, hungry AND I'm gonna hit rush hour. So I tell her I have no money and I have to come back another time. I began to gather my things (that I had to toss all around that stupid chair as she clenched onto my arm and thrust me into it) and move away. This is when things got good. Attempting to walk away hesitantly is a good trick for haggling. It tells them that you want to buy the product and exhibits firmness on the price. In reality, I didn't have the money and really wanted to leave, but like I said, I did love the product. So, she hooked her claws in once more and sat me back down. She offered one more time, getting about 2 inches from my face ("if I give you this deal you cannot tell nobody, I will lose my job!!") and telling me she would give me the large jar for around $40. I assumed (which was stupid) she meant $39.99. So, I consented. I felt the product was worth it. She got excited and started in on the face makeup. I firmly rejected and reminded her of my time schedule. NEVER let them do a "free" makeover. That is literally how they get you! I told her I would come back later instead. She immediately asked me cash or card. Before I handed her my card, I asked the final total with tax. Like I said, I'm leery of salespeople like this. She said $53. At this point, I was angry. Luckily, she didn't have my card. I'm sure she would've just swiped it if she did. I repeated her phrase of "around $40" to her. She said she meant $49.99. I was shocked. I told her I was under a different impression, apologized and turned to leave again, this time, in anger. She called me back again and said she would give it to me for $39.99. So, I bought it and left as quickly as freakin' possible. Anyway, moral of the story: be firm, don't be afraid to haggle, don't let them give you an extensive "free" demonstration, and know the total before you hand over your money. On the flipside, I encourage all of you that are enraged enough to take this to the next step. The more people complain, the more things will change. Good luck to you ladies who have already started the fight. Let us know how it turns out!!
