After signing up for an account with bidrack.com, a few days later I received an unexpected charge on my credit card account for $99.
I have contacted their 800 number (which is nothing more than a third party answering service), as well as their online email-based support organization (
[email protected]) to contest this charge as all I assumed I was doing was creating a new account and not "buying" any "bid packages". The online support organization claims that it is their policy to refuse to rebate any money customers paid for bids (that I didn't know I was buying nor would I have agreed to).
Here is their official response:
"We thank you for reaching out to us here at Bidrack! We are very sorry that you did not wish to be charged and we apologize deeply for the inconvenience this may have caused. Unfortunately, due to our policies as stated in the terms and conditions you agreed to, I cannot give you a refund."
This website and company apparently pre-select the $99 option that many people, including myself. missed during initial signup. Most honest and reputable vendors do not pre-select choices for you, but rather allow you to pick the option that you want. I would recommend that anyone considering this vendor seriously read all of the fine print and pre-selected options that I and many others did not see!
