blackberry text icon gone

My phone was acting weird lost text icon and store personel helped out but when called support could not fix. It cost me 250 dollars loner phone for 4 to six weeks. They also wanted 29 dollars, to down load my contacts into loner phone. This system is a bit of a money grab. There is suppost to be a one year manufactures warrenty good warrenty when it cost you more MONEY? My phone number is 613-921-5956 both me and my wife have blackberrys for business this is not a great service.
