When I called to activate my new Boscov's store charge card in December 2017 I was asked if I wanted to enroll in the Account Assure account insurance program and by enrolling I would receive a free $25.00 VISA gift card after returning the form which would be mailed to me. I agreed because like most people, I figured I'd get the free $25.00 VISA gift card and then cancel the Account Assure insurance plan. I received what I was expecting to be my $25.00 VISA gift card in the mail today (February 24, 2018) but was EXTREMELY irritated and felt VERY much betrayed and lied to when I opened the envelope only to find that the enclosed gift card was not the PROMISED VISA $25.00 but rather a $25.00 Boscov's merchandise card to be redeemed ONLY at a Boscov's retail store or at Boscovs.com! I am infuriated! I called the company and of course they're closed! I used the automated system to cancel my insurance protection, but I want the VISA gift card that was promised to me as well as a reimbursement for any and ALL monies that Account Assure charged and collected from me!
