Poor customer service and lack of knowledge
2015 I financed a 2011 with Drivetime shortly after I was advised it was switching to Bridgecrest. I have had nothing but problems with them every since. Customer service is terrible, the claim it's the same people but my beginning expands great. I purchased the bumper to bumper through their insurance when I got the car and made my payments with the car note payments. I was told on numerous occasions I had to pay the insurance separately which I knew was incorrect so I would hang up and call back for a different agent. There has been too many times wherewith agent would confirm my payment the correct way but not separate the insurance payment so nothing went to my insurance and I would have to be transferred to the insurance department to have it corrected or the next agent would submit a correction to have it fixed.
Now beginning of September, I called to make my payment car note and insurance the agent confirms. End of September I call to make another payment the agents advises how much is do I tell her something is wrong my note is higher the agent tells me the about of last payment. I explained how much was suppose to went to my insurance agent advised my insurance had expired. I asked expired when and why wasn't I notified. The agent advised it was expired since August and it shows I was given several phone calls. Now I did receive calls from them because I was late on my payment I had the voicemails to prove it none of which stated anything about insurance. I have not received any mail and I have not moved. I asked to speak with a supervisor who says the agent is correct your insurance has expired. I asked why when I made my last payment I was not advised of this instead the agent took the money put it to the car note but confirmed payment for car note and insurance. The supervisor says I do apologize and the agent will be reprimanded. I'm pist I had no clue I had been with no bumper to bumper for 1 month and you say I'm sorry. The supervisor confirmed the calls made to me were about payment and a few voicemails had been left. I asked what I needed to do at that point to get my coverage and was advised they no longer do the insurance. Now 3 days ago I call to make a payment and asked when did they stop with the insurance because the Drivetime commercial is still advertising it. The agent says they still have the insurance. I said i was advised 2 weeks ago you don't. I was put on hold the agent comes back and says your insurance has expired. I said so I've heard back in August but no one told me and when I asked what I needed to do to get my insurance back I was advised you guys no longer carry the insurance. The agent pretty much blew that off by telling me how much was due and then asking how I would be making the payment.
Apparently there's lack of knowledge and there needs to be some training going on. I like the car because it is a spacious 4 cylinder but I have other cars where I don't necessarily need this one and with the haggle that's being given I'm thinking hard about returning it.
