Sub: Under Ground Drainage system At Brindavan Colony Phasre-1 -Partial completion.

We are highly thankful to GHMC for sanctioning the Underground Drainage System to our Brindavan Colony Phase 1, Opp. A.S.Raonagar, Hyderabad-62 with the help of the then MLA Sri Raji Reddy of Uppal Continuance. When the job was about start, it was postponed due to Election code. After General Elections, the work was entrusted to some local Contractor by Kapra Municipal Authorities.

Our colony consists of two straight roads connected by two cross roads. Sanction for Under Ground Drainage was accorded for the complete area by the Kapra Municipal Authorities. In this connection, we would inform you that there was no proper supervision on the contractor's work by the Kapra Municipal Authorities. Both were very much interested how to sell the over burdened soil. Daily number of truck loads were shifted. It is a fact that this was questioned by some of our colony residents. Keeping this in their maid, the work on Road No.1 which was in progress stopped abruptly and the workforce shifted to another area under the plea that they had to attend to some urgent work.

Work on Road No.2 is completed in all respects including the individual connections to the main line.

Still underground drainage work is kept pending for about 150 feet at Road No.1 and in between connected roads about 180 feet (Total 330 feet).

In spite of our several requests including the one in ‘PRAJA VANI’, the Municipal Authorities appear to have turned a deaf ear and the work remains yet to be completed for reasons unknown, though more than two months have lapsed.

Major portion of Road No.1 being a low lying area, stagnation of water and overflowing of the drains during rains is inexplicable.

Please enquire about the amount sanctioned, amount spent, and why the job was stopped and how many are involved and also pass on the instruction to complete the balance job early and proper action may please be taken against the concerned.
