Seeking information on loan forgiveness, I completed the OTA program, passed boards currently have a COTA license however pay isn’t what was promised and work in this field is hard to find in my area even with an hour to an hour and half any direction. I owe $37 thousand in school loans never got my portion that I should have received each quarter and when asked financial office it was a different worker and different answer. Made to purchase IPADS for digital books that cost $300 or more per book that after program ended I no longer have access to.

I went to and received a Degree from Brown Mackie and I tried to attend a real college and was basically told I have to start all over again my credits do not really count for anything. I went to Brown Mackie College in Northern Kentucky from 2010 to 2013. I enrolled at brown mackie in 2014. I wasn't even there 2 months before i left. I was really young fresh out of high school. I just started trying to get myself together with being a mother and all. I went on credit karma and saw I had two loans taken out from Brown Mackie that I never even received. A lot of numbers for loan forgiveness are not in service. I call the Brown Mackie student forgivenss loans center and they still want a fee to forgive loans that i never took out or received. as I look back they have been misleading and sneaky , with everything that was told , they made you feel as if this is what you wanted to do , but never understood the program when you were basically forced and pushed into getting into something so misleading , i am disappointed and very upset that have the pay back for something i have never used a day in life because it was that misleading. i need help to resolve this problem , like a lawsuit I can get a lawyer if it comes down to it but its just not right. i was up everyday pissed of at what i have accumulated through them and i learned not a dang thing , it really sucks! How can a business do something like that do that to innocent humans, like they didn't know what they were doing. I attended Brown Mackie in North Canton in Ohio. Was in the medical assistant program. Graduated and when I went to find a job I was very unqualified for any jobs. They didn't teach EMR so I had no idea how to use the system which made me not qualify for any jobs. Now I am 45k in debt and have no way to pay the loans. I was lied to in order to keep me at the school. If there is any class action lawsuits in Ohio I would love to be part of it.

I completed a 2 year associate degree in 18 months because I had credits transfer in. No one told me that my credits at Brown Mackie would not transfer to other schools. I did not even learn enough to pass the test for medical assisting, yet I made all A's. Not sure how that happens. I now have $20,000 in student loans that I will soon have to start paying on. Is there anyone that knows of a class action suit against them that I could join or even how to start one?? BMC wasted my time and my money.. is there any class action law suits that I can join??? I have an associates degree in Pharmacy Technology that no one will accept. I was told that I could use this degree to complete my 4yr degree (bachelors) I have wasted over $24K and the student loan people are beating down my door.

Long story short I have dropped out three times due to being lied too about my financial aid. I have been told I have enough to graduate and then last minute have to drop out because Im out of money. Where/who do I need to talk to about a law suit?

The school does not have actual professors just regular people in that field that could not even answer questions that were asked in the text book. As a student I feel I’m looked at as money instead of a student. The success rate is low. This school has classes in the nursing program that have a 50/50 pass fail rate. To me it would be more logically to examine to class/teacher when students repeatedly fail certain classes. Skills ll(pn1130) hasn’t been successful. Since Oct-Feb this class has had three different teachers and as result was problems and unsuccessful attempts by the students.
In some classes students who fail receive points to pass. Its like the program has pushed students along throughout January 2011 into 2012 present. I feel like if you push "some" students along then push "all” students along. If some students receive points all students should receive points when needed. Check the records. This school teaches the students nurses should be honest. I feel that they need to lead by example and hire honest teachers. This to me shows favoritism and doesn’t display characteristics they tell us to maintain.
I have two children. I have invested too much money, energy and time to be treated like I have been. Every month there is new rules and teachers no stability. The students should be accommodated better than what they are. I feel that if the students had the same teachers the student will feel more comfortable and ultimately succeed. I also don’t like the fact the teachers behave in a child like manner and discuss inappropriate subjects like other students or teachers in front of the students. Students should be able to confide in their teachers not feel threatened or have to worry about hippa violations or personal information leaked.
I feel like I’m being robbed of my money. I feel brown Mackie doesn’t care about the students nor the success of the students. If brown Mackie really cared about the students success the programs success rates would show otherwise. I feel that the medical assistant program should have to maintain a 80 percent overall GPA, instead they have to maintain a 70. When I first started the program I signed a contract with tuition being a set amount as well as the times allowed to fail a class being six. Months into the program students were notified tuition increased and that failure rate decreased. To me that was a way of making money. I felt stuck midway threw the program.
I am as well as other class mates are unhappy student. I feel robbed of my money and belittled like I’m just a pawn to make money. I don’t think the tution, points given out, the instructors, certain classes being pushed along is fair to me. I have never received points nor been pushed along in this program. I asked the records and teachers get reviewed from Jan 2011 to Feb. 2012 present. I feel like I’m trapped and not in a professional setting. This is beyond ridiculous .I feel they need to set a entrance test for nursing students. Why are the students failing midway and towards the end of the programs instead of the beginning? In most schools student drop off that weren’t serious at the start of the program. My dream is to ultimately become a nurse. Please help me do so. This program needs to be looked into.
