The entire reason we spent extra ($1800) on hardwood was because we were told it was durable. Our 17lb Pomeranian has destroyed our brand new hardwood within 4 months with scratches everywhere. We had someone come and look and he said there is nothing he can do as Bruce does not have a warranty that covers pets. This absolutely sickens me tk think what the floor will look like even a year from now when my infant and using a walker and how much more damage my well groomed Pomeranian will make on this cheap floors. Do not purchase Bruce flooring!!!

This flooring is sheer and utter garbage. You mop it and the finish comes off. It is flaking off the finish and leaving black streaks in its place. Our flooring is pickled in color very light and it looks like a dark patchwork quilt. We bought the house this way it isn't our buying that is the reason we have it however it never held up once we moved in looked great during the process of buying but put any demand on it, mopping, traffic, and it failed any tests miserably. I always thought this was a good product and being what the price is when you purchase it am very, very, disgusted at how it looks now. Will never buy this product for any reason or recommend it to anyone. Poor quality product.

Recently installed bruce engineered hardwood – “EAK04LG” - This home was built in 1993 and had bruce engineered hardwood “glued” on concrete slab and it performed great, dogs, kids and daily wear and tear. Wanted to support our local business, Morehead city NC and American manufacturing - this completely blew up in our face. Within a week the product dented from simply sitting in our bar stools and the finish peeled from dog urine and the scratches from dog claws are hideous. The guy we bought the floors from said no wood floor is warranted against dogs. We did not hear this when he was estimating the job and we were telling him we were concerned about potty training issues with our dogs and about scratches “as our dogs were jumping all over him”!!! Bruce/Armstrong said we are on our own. This product is a complete embarrassment to American manufacturing – we would have got the same support and quality from china. DO NOT BUY BRUCE PRODUCTS PERIOD!!!

We have the prefinished hardwood with microbevel. A totally unacceptable number of boards have the 'overwood' problem. Sharp edges and corners are uncomfortable to the feet. Bruce sent a rep to review and said it was in spec - that stupid credit card thickness excuse. They also totally ignored the two dozen spit and cracked boards. Would never recommend prefinished or even Bruce.
