Poor Shipping Information

I ordered 2 pistol magazines. I do not have a mail receptacle at my home address. I can receive shipments either to my PO Box via USPS or to my home address via FedEx or UPS. When I placed my order the following pop up message appeared, "Currently, we are not shipping accessories to PO Boxes. If this is address is not a PO Box you can still proceed to checkout. If this address is a PO Box please change the shipping address for this order." I changed my address to ship to the home address. I never was notified prior to checkout how the items were going to be shipped. I figured if it couldn't be sent to a PO Box then it would be shipped FedEx or UPS.
My items were returned since it shipped USPS. When I called Buds Customer Service I was informed that their vendor uses all three shipping methods and basically it ships however they decide. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped FedEx or UPS and the representative said that was not an option. I told them to cancel the order. My account was credited back the money for the items but not the shipping. I am out $10 since I could not request how my order could be shipped. Needless to say, Buds has lost my business. I have ordered gun accessory products online from other companies and have never ran into this problem before but then they gave me shipping options.

Item not as promised

I’ve ordered two firearms from Bud’s Gun Shop in the recent past and had no problems with receiving exactly what I ordered. This time was different. On December 14, 2014, I saw that Bud’s had the Sig Sauer Adaptive Carbine Platform (ACP) Zombie Killer Edition on sale on their website. The description of the kit stated it included the ACP, a single-point bungee sling, the Sig STL-9000 Laser/Light, and a carry case. Their online picture also showed the kit with the STL-9000 Laser/Light attached to the ACP. I placed my order for the kit that day, part number ACPZKWLL. Note, the last two letters, "LL", i.e. Laser/Light.



Nine days later, I received the ACP kit, and when I opened the box, to my surprise, there was no STL-9000 Laser/Light. The next day, I called Bud’s to let them know that they had forgotten to include the Laser/Light. I was told by their customer service representative the kit no longer comes with that item and they would give a refund if I wanted to send the kit back. As it was to be a Christmas gift for my wife and this was the day before Christmas, this was not an option for me. I asked that they send me the item that was in their online description, the Sig STL-9000 Laser/Light. When they refused to do, I told them that I would have to let their customers know how I was treated.



After Christmas, I attempted to log in to my account on the Bud’s Gun Shop website and found that Bud’s had permanently deleted my account, thereby preventing me from leaving public feedback on my purchase.



If you want to buy firearms and accessories from a dealer that will take care of its customers, DO NOT BUY FROM BUD’S GUN SHOP!

Poor Customer Service

During a two week visit with my Mother in West Virginia I decided to order two Ruger single six pistols from Buds. The combined cost was approximately $960 dollars. I placed the online order and supplied a Virginia FFL dealer since I am a Virginia resident. The next day I got an email telling me to contact customer service about my order (Order #922787). I contacted Buds customer service and was told since the billing address I supplied was in West Virginia, I would have to supply them with a West Virginia FFL dealer. I explained to this gentleman that I was just visiting my mother for a couple of weeks in West Virginia and I was actually a Virginia resident. I was told repeatedly that the only way the order could be processed is for me to change my previous Virginia FFL dealer to a West Virginia FFL dealer. Finally, after a frustrating and useless argument on my part I agreed to these terms. Today I went to the West Virginia FFA dealer to pick up my guns and was told by the store owner since I lived in Virginia I could not buy a gun in West Virginia. He told me he would deliver these guns five miles up the interstate to my originally Virginia FFL dealer for a fee of $50 and then I would have to pay the Virginia FFL dealer an additional $25 per gun to do the paper work. It has now cost me a total of $100 dollars to get the guns, an additional $50 over the planned cost. I contacted Bud's customer service this afternoon and got in touch with the same idiot I had original talked with. After telling him the events I went through he told me he was sorry and I should have asked the West Virginia FFL dealer if I could purchase a gun since I lived in Virginia. He was not about to take any ownership in this problem. I told him all I wanted was a $50 Buds gun store credit to make up for the $50 problem that I thought he was responsible for. No such luck. This is the third and final gun I will buy from these idiots. Any other company would gladly give the unhappy customer an in store credit to ensure future business. From now on I will be taking my un appreciated business elsewhere.
