Not water resistant as stated
Like almost every other reviewer here I am sick of Bulova's customer service. Or more correctly the lack of it. I purchased a brand new watch from ebay. Only when I was going to send it in for some warranty work was I told that the warranty was void because it was not purchased from an authorized dealer. Whatever. When I first received the watch I emailed Bulova and asked if I could wear the watch in a pool. I was assured that the watch was rated to 50m and there would be no problem. The response came from Ralph J. So I wear the watch in the pool and I get condensation under the crystal. I contact Bulova and they tell me they won't do anything because it wasn't bought from a dealer. Ralph J. again. I tell him you assured me I could wear it in the pool. That was your error and you should take care of the problem. He tells me the watch has no problem being worn in a pool and they will not do anything. Well, I'll tell you. I will never deal with them again. Buyer beware!

bulova warranty not honered
My wife purchased a Bulova watch for me last Christmas. I have several watches so I didn't wear it right away. When i decided to wear it the time was off so I tried to set it. I pulled on the stem and the whole thing came out of the watch. I sent it to the service dept. and few weeks later received a letter stating stems are not covered and I would have to pay 48.72 to have it repaired. I called the dept, and a rep said I pulled too hard and they won't cover it. I explained that I have 3 Bulova watches and this never happened and I didn't pull hard at all. She said I must have. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she transferred me. I left a message which was 3 days ago and have yet to hear from him. This kind of customer service is terrible and if I have to pay for 300,00 watch to be repaired after not even wearing it, I will never buy another one and tell everyone I know to do the same!

Band broke day after having links removed
I brought my husband and the Bulova watch that I puchased for him on Decemer 24th to Macy's to have the band on the watch adjusted so that the watch would properly fit my husband's wrist. The sales woman did remove several of the links. This was done on Monday December 26th. On Tuesday December 27th, the watch fell from my husband's wrist. One of the links in the band fell off onto the floor. This link was not included with the other links that werr removed on Monday December 26th.
I wll not be able to have Macy's repair the watch until this Friday December 30th as this is the earliest day that my husband and I can get back there due to our work schedules.
What I insist upon is NOT to have the watch repaired, but to have the watch replaced.
