Unregistered letters in Canada Post Mailbox
Unregistered letters in My Mailbox (Canada Post)
I would like some advice...Please. Is the co-op I am renting from allowed to open my mailbox?
What agreement is between co-op and Canadapost?
Is CanadaPost aware that Stoneworth Co-op places unstamped, unregistered mail in postbox?
Is it not illegal?
Is this tampering with Federal Mail?
It is still happening?
Canada Post, why are you allowing co-op to place these letters in mailbox?
Isnt co-op supposed to only maintain mailboxes from Canada Post?
Co-op removed registered letters and withheld them, isnt that against the law?
Is Canada Post even aware that Stonewoth co-op is illegally entering my mailbox?
Can CP please send me some information on my rights with CPmailbox?

Please email me with advice at [email protected]
thank you kindly

Attendant away for 40 minutes
No attendant during stated open hours
Myself and othe client travelled far to come pick up a parcel yet the attendant is taking extended break thus closing the counter. This is unacceptable - fire that employee!!

non delivery
The mail person did not attempt delivery of a package and there is no attempted delivery notice even though the computer says that one was left. The mail person did not buzz us. I doubt that she was by as her usual delivery time is after lunch. It seems as though someone keyed that in before she even did her route. Why is it that seniors are receiving such poor service from Canada Post? Delivery of packages is the fastest growing area for Canada Post and you should be trying to please the public you serve instead of mail persons trying to get away with not doing their jobs.

stamp charges
Re: Sheffield and Son's Smoke Shop in West Oaks Mall in Abbotsford, BC
I went to buy a book of Canadian stamps (10 stamps). I was handed 10 individual stamps and was going to be charged for each individual stamp ... not a book price. Was told they do not sell books of stamps. I feel this is wrong ... 10 stamps is what is in a book of stamps. I strongly feel this is very wrong, as there is significant difference in price.

post man does not deliver
Our post man does not leave a card to say he attempted a deliver even though it says he did on Canada Post tracking. He often does not deliver packages that are supposedly on his truck. He does not use the intercom to notify me to come to the mail box to collect my package. As a senior with mobility difficulties, getting to a physical post office to collect my package is quite the inconvenience for myself and anyone I ask to take me. How do I complain about my postman's failure to do his job?

Rude employees
I went in to mail some packages for my business I sell jewellery, I use the lettermail service be chase ta cheapest and that way I can offer my customers free shipping, I also have a venture one card that gives 5% off, to get more % off you have to spend so much to move up to the next bracket, so I asked the lady to use my venture one and she saying it's not going to make a difference and not worth it, I saved .30 cents how is that not worth it ? It's better then nothing, I'm young and living in the poverty line so yes 30cents is worth saving to me, also if I don't use my card il never move up brackets, so I was like explaining well I know it's not much ($6) but it adds up and I said in a nice joking way like gotta start somewhere right ? And she just kind of half smiled and went hmm .. Then I was curious about a stamp book and asked if it is cheaper to buy a stamp book and she literally looked at me and said "what do you mean" I was like "like a stamp book ?" And she's like "what?" By this time I'm really confused ??? You work at a post office and don't know what the f*** I mean when i said stamp book? The lady next to her literally was like "like a stamp book ." Like in a are you serious tone ? And she's like oh no not your you it won't make a difference ... I'm like ok I just sent my nail and left .. So then what's the point of buying a stamp book if it's the same price as buying individual stamps ? Unless she thinks cuz it may only be a few cents it's not worth telling me or explaining ? Like ok lady .. I seriously hate going my post office and I wish there was another not as far, because I have to prepare my self before going in there because they make my feel anxious and stupid for wanting to use my venture one and for asking normal questions ppl ask about mail and postage ! Like jeez

Rude and unpolite/unprofesional male postal worker
Hi.
I went to a Post Office at Mount Pearl, 29 Commonwealth Avenue to return a wrong item/packaged that I received from Ebay 8 days ago. This happened today on, May 5th @300 O'clock,2016. I went into this Canada Post Office,Mount Pear.Nl location and,as far as I could see, there was this older man,(45-55 years old approximately.) was the only worker.First of all, I have never had to returned any item(s) to Ebay in my 7 years ,so i felt it was ok for me to ask him options of ways to send/ship it back to the USA. Anyway,After I walked in the office, this man was sitting on a chair toward the back of the post office. He came toward the front counter when i reached the counter.. I decided to ask him a few questions about how i could/options to return a package to Ebay, before i would close/tape up this 10" by 14" x7" box.Such As,As I started the conversation, to ask this guy about the options of returning this package, such as::: Opinions and/or Options/services Avail,Like, I was wondering if I Should send it Priority Post? Should I send Register Mail this company that i purchased it off,or...? The ordeal is,Just as I was about to ask this man of the options that i might have,he simply,in a uninviting voice, told me all he would do,/and his job was to take the box and send it and I needed to have To and From, addresses on the box . (Obviously I knew this much anyway!!!). SoAs istarted to explain to him and ask Questions, which he seems less attentive to listen or give me advice,I knew he was having a bad .Iam a customer of Canada Post and He had no right to be UNPOLITE AND RUDE and not letting me finish my simple questions.... He Acted in a very unprofessional manner and before I decided to say or asking any other question.I just told him that just forget it and decided I would not try to converse with him from this point on.I decided to tell him to have a good day and Ifelt I would go to some other post office and i was not going to business with this person ever again .I have been a business person for 20 +years and never ever did see this type of UN-professionalism and rudeness in my 50 years living in newfoundland.Total Disrespect.. lesson Learned.

Non compliant post office employee
We have a very small post office. Two years ago Canada Post changed our box number. We have notified everyone about this, but occasionally, someone sends something that is general delivery. Bout post master knows us, jumped everyone in this Ll post office, but instead of putting it in our box, he sends it back. We had a problem with this in receiving remuneration from s corporation, one that had our address change, but another division sent a chequered, the post master sent it back because it said general delivery instead of our box number. When we spoke to him? He said he did not give a rat's ass about that job, he did not care if we did not like it, and he was going to send it back,
If he did not know where to put the letters, and did not know anyone it would be different, but he is downright miserable to everyone!!!

Return to Sender
For 20 plus years have been mailing parcel to and from same two address. One in New Brunswick and one in Welland Ontario. Last week was expecting parcel that contained a handmade Bday gift for my 12 year old daughter. Got chit on door to go pick it up and not there tracking shows return to sender. So logically request to have it turned around and sent back Canada Post is incapable of doing that. The package has to go all the way back to New Brunswick and be re-mailed (and pay again) then the sender can apply for a refund. Further inquiry as to why after 20 plus years at the identical same address how this could happen we were told the reason for return is only written on the return slip affixed to that package
( I was told by a Canada Post Resolution Specialist that one of the possible reasons that the package was returned as it could have contained "Drugs" ..My reply was so Canada Post Policy is if you find drugs instead of calling the police you send them back to the drug dealer so they can try to sell them again LMAO...No response to that one..And of course the package does not contain any drugs just a handmade cedar open chest)
So in the end our Nations Postal Agency a Crown Corporation does not have any ability to reroute misguided parcels. Once they are set in motion there is not stopping or diverting them...Lets hope the RCMP does not need to stop any domestic mail that may be a threat to our society.
They do not record the reason for the return to sender of any parcel in any system or even on written ledger only a sticker placed on the outside of the package, which again cannot be stopped or diverted for any reason.
Finally Canada Post will return all drugs (if detected by them) to their lawful owner the unlawful Drug Dealer...
One final insult you can only talk to someone a couple rungs up the food chain as we attempted to escalate this matter and speak personally with senior management we were told we must email and that they would not transfer us or give us their phone #'s, hows that for customer service/accountability
I say cut off all public funding tax dollars and sell the Agency.

Unprofessional Employees
How come when you go into these small town post offices they are just one LOUD gossip/hen party? Don't they have to work? You have to fight through all the people sitting around with nothing to do to get to the Canada Post employee? It's disruptive and why don't they have to be working? Instead it's loud, flyers everywhere, coffee cups everywhere & you can't get service without the whole coffee crew to contend with. VERY unprofessional. And this is not a coffee shop. It's a post office.
No one should be allowed in the post office unless they are their to conduct post office business and when it's done. Leave. Not stay there for hours to gossip. Your employees are the worst!

mail sorting
I have recently moved into the area in the past year. My mail delivery was absolutely great for the best part of the year. The Canada Post office Clerk was wonderful and very pleasant. I understand there was a change in ownership and since October 2015 my mail has not always been as expected. Government cheques are late and I am receiving mail in my box that is not for me.
I am asking that this post office pick up can be looked into. I have in the past 8 weeks received in my box mail that is not addressed to me and also mail that I have been waiting on, delayed in being put in my box. the new postmaster is Anne Marie Hancock. I am not happy with my service Please make inquiries if this can be corrected, and have mail delivery for the new year looked into. I am very disappointed.
The post office never has the lights on and the server Anne Marie Hancock sits in the dark at the post office. This is incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable when getting mail. I don't know if they have no hydro but they should at least have some lights on for customers.
VERY unhappy with whatever has happened to our post office.

Lost registered mail containing passport
My name is Wagdy Saleh
Address: 129 Berwick cres, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 0B5
I came back from work on Nov 10 to find a letter delivery notification stuck on the entrance door of my house. The notification indicates that the letter will be available at the drug store near my house after 1 pm the next day (i.e. on Nov 11). I went to the drug store to pick up the letter, I made it there at 4:10 pm only to find that Canada Post office is closed for the day however the manager of the drug store offered to help me and when she checked the drawers she could not find my letter then she offered to check the computer system to track where the letter is. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, the computer booted up only to find that my letter is still in the depot.
The issue here is that the delivery notification left at my door does not have a date therefore indicating that the letter will be left at the drug store for me to pick up at 1 pm the next day does not mean anything.
The other issue is that the post office was closed at 4 pm on Wed Nov 11 has not been announced specially when it has been known for long time that remembrance day is not a statutory holiday in Ontario.
I am hoping that my letter is not lost as it contains my new passport and delivering it to my door was paid for.

flyer delivery
i have asked the mailman to please STOP delivery of All flyers. #1507-101 Marion St.
Winnipeg, Mb. R2H 3C5
he told me he had to deliver some.. i told him i want NONE..
(i am against killing trees for flyers and money grubbers)
he then told me i was to put a red dot inside the box. (apartment block)
i asked if he had such a dot, he told me just to put one there myself
as he did not carry such.
i put one there at least 6 months ago.. he still delivers the junk mail (flyers).
i am beside myself on dealing with this dolt. he is also rude when delivering
if anyone tries to near the boxes while he is present, even if he is not working
on the same set of boxes.
PLEASE ask him to refrain from filling the boxes with junk.
maybe he can put them aside and we can take one if we like.

mail receptacles not available
i am a letter carrier and i have been assigned to this route, i did my best to deliver to business addresses where there are no mail receptacles (ie, mail box, mail slot and/or mailroom) and i got written up by my supervisor. if i am to deliver parcels (PCI) to said businesses, they should have the proper facility:
namely:
1. mail boxes
2. door mail slot
3. mailroom/s
4. concierge or security guards.
during training, we were advised of the new rules as to how to deliver parcels (PCI). if none of the above mentioned facilty exists, we should, as letter carriers, in light of security, must bring back DNC (delivery notice cards) back to the depot for a 2nd attempt to deliver. i forgot to mention that there is a time constraint regarding delivery to businesses as they do not have a set time of opening and closing. plus the fact that i have to lug the PCI using elevators and stairs eats up most of the delivery time.
i was hoping my fellow letter carrier (regular guy) had the consideration of delivering the DNC cards to the appropriate businesses so as to have avoided me getting the fat end of the stick. consumers security is at risk when leaving DNC cards out in the open. i dont want to lose my job just because i had to follow protocol and leave the notification card dangling on a door knob or stuck to the door. it is more sound and ligical to bring back the notification card to the depot and redilver it along with the regular mail the following day.

WTG Canada Post Screwed Up Again
I can not stress how upset and how angry I have become watching my neighbor become my mail delivery person. If we did not have a good connection god only knows who or where my mail would be. Today my neighbor only only received a bank statement but also a commission payment. This is not the 1st time this is to many times to count just in the last 6 months. We have all approached our delivery person to be informed oh my I need glasses and can not get till Jan. January has come and gone and now it is another excuse. In the meantime my personal mail along with my personal information is scattered all over the neighborhood. With Identity theft at a high this only adds to the stress. I myself receive numerous pieces of mail for 158 Highland Street 3 blocks over from me which I personally deliver and also know many of my other neighbors take it upon themselves to hand deliver the incorrect mail but again it is my identify floating out there because he needs glasses or in a hurry or there maybe personal reasons. The fees we pay for the service does not justify the means. We need this corrected and fast,we accept mistakes happen by once per week is to much. As well we understand he is only required to deliver up to 3 days per week and usually either Fridays or Monday no mail not even a darn flyer as well if he takes a holiday it is up to him to find sub if no sub is found oh well we get no mail...I would rather have no mail than to have someone else and be responsible for it . We also had an occasion when he signed our name on a reg letter form and dropped in the mailbox without even knocking and you will say no way but I have video footage of it and it was reported. You want first hand information you should read post on social media for our area and see how bad it truly is. I hope this helps get my mail to the right place if not I will keep records and go to the press with my concerns. Thank you for your time. Unhelpful and rude customer service
I know this is long but please read until the end carefully. On January 22nd, I called the general customer service number found on Canada Post's website because 2 items, which I had sent as a privileged entrepreneur client (no. 8080539) to customers of mine, were late for delivery and tracking info mentioned some problem in the documentation. One item was a worldwide priority FedEx (304600068420) at $46 shipping my customer had paid me to send next business day in New York State, the other was an Xpresspost (EG012576427CA) my customer had paid $25 to send also to NYS. Both items were passed their expected delivery dates, the priority one by 2 business dates. When I called regarding the priority one around 9:00 am (my number is 819-503-2853), even though I had bought this FedEx service at a Canada Post Office, even though my receipt states the Canada Post is an authorized FedEx agent, even though my receipt states to contact Canada Post for tracking issues, the Canada Post customer service person told me RIGHT AWAY to contact FedEx without even listening or trying anything. I called FedEx which told me that the problem was that Canada Post had not scanned it and I had to deal with them. I said Post Canada just referred to FedEx so she told me not to worry, that she would contact Post Canada for me, I was on hold and 2 minutes later she told problem is solved, item is on delivery truck. Amazing that Canada Post from which I had purchased the service could not contact FedEx for me in case of a problem. Then I called Customer Service at Post Canada again around 9:30am (819-503-2853) for the Xpresspost item whose tracking info mentioned there was a problem with the address. I wanted to explain politely but firmly to the customer service agent that as a business I can not have these delivery problems all the time, and I started by saying I understood it was not her fault, she would not let me explain my story as a business customer talking to a customer service agent. She was cutting me off at every first word I was trying to speak, with "sir, just give me the tracking number" numerous times and I was saying "yes, I will give it to you in a minute but let me explain my problem". She would not listen to a single word I was saying, cutting me off with "sir, sir" repeatedly. She refused to put me through to the manager. At one point she heard me saying I was a business, she said she will transfer me to a commercial customer service agent, then I waited on hold for 10 minutes until I hung up, frustrated to obviously have just been put on hold as a pay back, to call customer service again. Then, from my cell phone (819-968-2164) because I did not want to further block my commercial phone line, I called your general customer service number again at around 10:10 am. The lady at first was collaborative, and I was initially not too agitated, she checked the status of the item with USPS and then came with the answer that they tried to deliver the item yesterday but the business was closed and they left a note for the receiver to go to the Post Office to pick it up. I tried to explain that this customer was an inmate in a correctional facility and of course there was no way she could pick it up at the Post Office. Then she checked with someone and came back with some odd answer that it was my responsibility if I ship to someone in a correctional facility that they can come pick up the mail at the post office or something like that. I tried to explain that nobody will never come to pick it up of course and it must have been a mistake to leave such a note at the door of a prison because no employee there would just take the note and say yes the inmate will go pick it up, that they should tell USPS to redeliver asap, because I have a lost of inmate customers it it happened to me all the time that if the facility is closed for mail, they ALWAYS redeliver the day after. Then it became surreal, she was refusing to hear one word of my explanations, cutting me off right away, then pressing some button all the time that made a big beep in my ear, even though I was not at AT ALL saying something insulting or disrespectful to her (I have been in business for 30 years) and I know the general standards of customer services, and then she just hung up. In my 30 years years in business, I've dealt with a lot with carriers and commercial customer services of my suppliers, I myself have a customer service in my company, MIAtrading, I have never, never seen such a blatant rudeness and unwillingness to lift a finger to help me, to go one little step further. I could not understand, why it was impossible to contact USPS and tell them to redeliver, that it was obviously a gross common sense error of their delivery guy, who workd in a little town, Bedford Hills NY, where there are 2 correctional facilities. They know the drill, they always redeliver if the prison is close, it's their policy. No, I was being told that although I paid 25$, for an express service with tracking and 3 delivery attempts, It was my fault, that nothing would be done, and that the item would be returned to me in 5 days. Period. After she hung up on me, without one possibility for me to explain my situation just a little, I was shocked, hurt, flabbergasted. Then I thought, I will contact USPS directly, maybe they can do something. I go to their website and to my dismay, I see they have on their website and by phone an easy redelivery service for tracked items. In 1 minute, I entered the info they needed and later THAT DAY, I received a PHONE CALL by USPS, in Canada, that the item was now on the delivery truck as we speak, that redelivery is done all the time for disabled people, military bases, prisons, etc. Your customer service person did not know that the postal service of our biggest trading partner has a redelivery service? That I could easily do it via internet or by phone, or offer me to do it on my behalf since I'm your customer and I paid $25 for your services? As a business person, I want you to know that there is an obvious problem with the attitudes or maybe the policies prevailing at your customer service. Total lack of wanting to listen to a commercial client who depends on you for his livelihood, total lack of wanting to help or do anything beyond checking the tracking info I myself see. Total lack of trying to contact fedEx or USPS, which should be routine actions when there's a problem with a commercial item with a somewhat expensive shipping cost. The last employee of yours I spoke to, I don't know her name, should in my view be disciplined, but you do what you want. What I require is a formal apology to have been treated like that, or I move all my business to UPS or FedEx and will badmouth your services to all my business acquaintances until the end of times. Thanks for reading.

undeliverable mail
I made an online purchase which was mailed (express post) to me using Canada Post. My package instead went to the 'Undeliverable' mail office, who knows where that is... I got no answer form anyone form Canada post because I was not the sender, they had my address on file, and yet no one could tell me why the item was deemed undeliverable. What’s most disturbing is; if Canada post deems a package undeliverable they can sell it and pocket the cash…that’s just wrong, especially since they make it impossible to make a claim. I am so dissatisfied with how this was handled by Canada Post I will go out of my way to avoid using them in the future!!!

undeliverable mail
I made an online purchase too on eBay and I was was out of town when the shipment arrived. It was kept at the local post office for a couple of weeks and just one before I returned home to claim it, they sent it back to the undeliverable mail office. Now when I call canadapost, the rep tells me that I cannot claim it back and the sender must contact their local postal agency to redirect it to my address. I made the purchase from a company in Hongkong, so its a waste of time and money if the parcel makes two trips back and forth. Canadapost should come up with a better process to hold parcels a little longer and allow for the recipient to claim it with proper identification.
