Ok, first off I found a dentist. Went in and discussed what work I needed done and the fact that I did not have dental insurance. They suggested a discount dental plan, but couldn't recommend one. But did say most of their patients who used a discount dental plan used Careington. So I said I will go with them, but asked my dentist to figure out what I would owe with and without Careington. I needed to have dentures, so for a full mouth extraction, and the dentures and all appointments, it was just shy of $8,000.00 with no discount plan. With Careington it cost me $2,570.00. That is a HUGE savings. I have no complaints, I am thrilled that I had this option and was able to finally get my dentures and feel good about myself again.

I purchased this plan for my wife and I. About 8 months into it, I found out that our dentist no longer accepts the plan. I contacted Careington, and canceled. Since there was well over three months left on the program, that I would like a refund for the unused portion. They don't give refunds...you are stuck for the entire amount, whether you can use it or not. When I contacted them, and complained, their response was for me to call them, and they would help me find a new dentist. REALLY???? I have to find a new dentist because they have terrible customer service? This is how they treat clients?

When I received a renewal notice in 2016, I told C that I didn't want to renew. Fast forward to 2018 - there was a renewal notice sent via email. I called, rep said they had renewed in 2016 and 2017, against my wishes.

Careington owes me $198!

I was with Careington for 5 years. It worked out well getting cleanings, a few fillings and one crown at their discounted rate. I turned 65 and my medicare plan had some dental coverage. I called Careington to cancel. My plan had renewed automatically 5 weeks before and I didn't realize it. They said no refunds after 30 days. Numerous attempts to get a refund were unsuccessful. Considering the automatic renewal, I thought their attitude was callous.

I just went to Milestone dental in Keller to get a crown replaced. What a joke. One crown over $1000. Cost me $85. Just for the xrays and visit. Did not have the crown replaced. Left. Since this company puts out misleading information on the cost to the consumer they should also be required to refund their rather high processing fee of $30 as well. I will be emailing and calling them for a refund of the measly $9.95 which I feel should include their processing fee as well. Do not waste your time or money on this company. I got the plan because my dental through my work will not cover any major procedures until you have had the plan for 6 months. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY.

I called on May 11th trying to cancel my plan that I paid a year for in March. I do not want it. I found something cheaper that my dentist takes. They told me to send an email to [email protected]. I emailed them saying I wanted to cancel. Never heard anything back. Today, May 17, I call again. Someone that barely speaks english takes my call. I tell him I have not heard anything back. He said my plan will be canceled March 1, 2018. I said I want to cancel now and want my refund. He asked what I put in the email. I told him and he said that I did not ask for a refund. I own my own company and when someone cancels service and has paid for more than what they got....I send a refund! They do not have to ask me! I thought it was common sense. He said I had to send a new email and then it will be investigated. I am suspecting I will not see a refund. I just want to warn others so they can ASK FOR A REFUND. Spell it out for them if you need to.

I recently bought a Careington care plan the 500 series. I purchased it on 8232016 made me an appointment for the next week. I went to the dentist just loved the office .I did my paper work they called me back.Itook my exrays the dentist came in checked my mouth.Looking at my medical paper work they told me that they couldn't clean my teeth I would have to come back the next day because I would have to take 500miligram antibiotics before they would clean my teeth. I would have to come back tomorrow at 3.00 o'clock. So l leave feeling good that I found the perfect dentist. Get home and my husband tell me they don't take Careington Care Plan.so now I have to pay them $60.00 dollars for what I had done that day. SI immediately call the the1800 number.I talked to one of there custom service person.They tell me that I can't get my $35.99 back they drafted out of my accountthat it is non refundable.after I argued with her it didn't make a difference so I ask her to fix it so they want debit my account so I asked her three times did she take of it so they want debit my account . She said yes she took care of it.So I am out of$35.99 from Careington and I have to pay $80.00 to my provider. I don't think they should keep my money thaty withheld from me Please help me answer if I can get my money returned back to my account.Thank you.!Now I am out of $115.99 I am a senior citizen .I need my money we need to read reviews before we buy made a mistake .Lord Have Mercy.!!!!!

I bought into your plan, which was supposed to be so great, all the dentist that accept your plan are in a different state, no longer in business, or so far away, you can't get to them! I sent a letter to the company, asking for a refund because of this, and now they state since its been more then 30 days they can't do anything. Basically called me a liar, and was rude & impolite! Anyone wanting this "not an insurance", get anything else but this, because.....it's NOT AN INSURANCE! It's a RIPOFF! I paid a $25.00 processing fee, and $174.95 for nothing! And their Manager "Brittany"? Rude, unprofessional, and needs to be repremended!

signed up with careington on 3/6/16. I cancelled my membership the following day.. I read that you have 30 days to cancel.. I called on March 9 due not seeing a refund and they're telling me they have to investigate it before refunding my money..what kind of bullshit is that . Why investigate..??? My money should be refunded to me because I did it within the 30 days.. No questions asked.. Something is not right with these people..

I found out about this waste of an insurance from one of the very few offices in my area that pushes it.That office is Maple Shade.Or Maple Shady as I found out is their nicknAme.An office that recommends work you don't need at inflated prices.Any legitimate dentist, at least in my area, doesn't except this lame company.You get hardly any discount.And if be ware.Thet will continue to charge your account even when you don't want their service!

I called about the plan & asked them to send me more info in the mail, and they said they don't send info in the mail. They thouugt I was stupid enough to give them my credit card info. For a dental plan I know nothing about. Right away I knew this was a scam, cause they refused to send me any info. About the plan. I did not give them any of my card info. & I hung up on them . So be aware of this Carrington Dental . Its a scam just to get your money . And them they treat you like you stupid and tell you they never heard of you .They didn't get my money or no info from me . Thank God.

I had an estimate of 3200 dollars for my daughter to get dental work done. I came home and researched dental plans through the consumer reports website. Then decided on careington. I made an appointment for 2 weeks later with the same dentist and paid 1569 dollars. I pd. 189 for a yr and received 3 months free. With the processing fee, thats 209.00 for 15 months of coverage, which already, in one visit saved me over 1500 dollars!!!

Carington as a dental discount plan is great. Simple math. Delta Dental monthly charge $80.00 (approx) and there is a limit to what you can have done annually. it covers a basic cleaning and x rays. (part of your annual expenses limit) annual limit is 1000. your cost is 960. and they only cover you either 50 or 80% for cleanings. so you still have to pay for whatever you had done.
