I have also received a call from Cascade Receivables Management LLC pertaining to an outstanding balance from Guthy-Renker LLC for Proactiv products. I did have an account with them at one point but anyone who has ever received these products knows that they keep a card number on file to charge. When I canceled my subscription, they charged any remaining balance to my card on file so I know for absolute sure that I don't owe them money. I requested this company send me something in writing showing proof of this balance. I called the Proactiv customer service line and gave them the account number referenced, they found no results. I then gave them the information my account had been under. They were able to verify that my account was in fact closed with no outstanding balance and gave me a reference number in case I needed to dispute anything that showed up on my credit report and their billing department recommended I do not pay this company because it is most likely a scam.
