I purchased a Case Farmall 35 Tractor 5 years ago and last month it broke in half. Literally, the cast iron or aluminum transmission which the entire tractor seems to be built around cracked and fell apart. The gears in the transmission were showing through right under the seat. I wired it together and pushed it on the trailer, took it to the dealer and they called the Case representative, who refused to do anything about it saying that the 12 month warranty was expired. It's a tractor. It shouldn't just break in half.
It has never been used for commercial work, only grading and normal usage around an 8 acre homestead.

About 2 years ago, the hydraulic pump mount broke off. That's another case iron or aluminum part. I asked for that to be repaired under the 5 year power train warranty. The tractor was about 3 years old at that time. The tractor is all hydrostatic so it does not work without the pump. The warranty representative said that the part was "not part of the powertrain".

I've asked them to repair it for me this time under warranty also and they first refused and then have ignored me ever since.

I think that Case Farmall is not honoring their warranties as they should and that they are making and selling a substandard product.
