I reserved a motel room on 9/28/2021 with this company, thinking I had the Americinn in Humboldt, IA. The website even had the complete layout of the Americinn in Humboldt as I had stayed there before and recognized it. I did not realize that the website was not Americinn. Upon learning that my family was staying at Americinn in Algona, IA, I cancelled the first reservation by calling the hotel in Humboldt, IA direct, 515-604-5000. They assured me it was canceled. Upon receiving my Discover statement, the there was a charge of $162.11 for the hotel room. My understanding was that CCI told Discover that I hadn't canceled in the alotted time, but I did. I canceled before 4:00 PM on Sept 28, 2021. My cancellation number was 171-762153. I do not know why Discover still thinks this transaction is valid.
This company has numerous complaints and why are they still operating? As of December 1, 2021, Americinn in Humboldt, IA has not been paid from this company. They have kept all of the room charge, $162.11
