I am very frustrated with CENLAR at this point. Having been laid off from my job over a year ago, I have been trying to find full time work but have only succeeded in finding part time work so far. I have been making my mortgage payments on time up until January of this year. The office I work in was closed for 3 weeks due to the holidays and I was not paid for the time off making it impossible for me to come up with my January payment. I had called them mid January to let them know I would have a hardship with the months payment and was told that another department would contact me within 24 hours to help with this. On hour 25 I received a call from Cenlar but when I answered, the call disconnected and no other call came. I tried the number that had called but it as not for incoming calls. A week later I called back and was told the payment was not officially late and to call back at the end of the month. I called at the end of the month and again was told someone would call me withi 24 hours. No call came. I called yet again and was told I'd be connected with someone and the call was disconnected. I immediately called back and this time the person who answered said she would help me. Why the other 4 couldn't I don't know. But, as it was, she wasn't much help. She said I didn't qualify for a payment deferrment and she would send a packet out for a loan modification but my payment would still be considered late and could be reported as being late. And its been a week and a half and the packet has still yet to come. They don't care about helping you and as soon as I can I will be looking for a refinance with another company.
