Fraudulent Internet cable services
I became a customer in 2013..started a "bundled"plan with direct tv..it took 11 months for century link to finally BUNDKE what I originally ordered..they double talked ne over and over. .gave some very minor adjustments. .I have very limited finds..live rural..severe needs daughter and lots if health issues..I have spent too many hours to count calling and trying to resolve never ending issues..getting double taljed being quoted one thing and billed another over and over..I was even un bundled last may of 2016..AND TOLD BY CENTURY LINK THAT I REQUESTED IT!!!So I was basically told I was a liar..well it us now JULY IF 2017 I AM STILL UNBUNDLED LOOSING THE DISCOUBTS..continuously being told they have fixed it..being over billed..it's insane and just flat out illegal how they do business.my Internet is aweful..we gave the old phone lines from us west still..I am always, busy taking care of fol j s..health issues etc..and I started recording my conversations about 2 yrs ago with them..and they still could care less..I even asked fir their recordings..only to be told son eine would get back to me. .never have though..it is refreshing to have found this site..and to see I'm not be any means the only one..but it is terrible that thus company is and has been allowed to operate in such a deceptive arrogant illegal and insulting fashion and CONTINUE TO DO SO..I have every bill and fully intend to figure RATHER refigure exactly what I believe that they owe me..which I've been trying to do all along..to include direct tv..it's total scam..terrible
..like I always say to the NEVER ENDING CALLS HOURS AND HOURS.."I'M NOT ON THE CLOCK!I HAVE BIGGER FISH TO FRY"..SHAME THE HELL ON THEM FOR REAL

Fraud
Sales person said that I was signing up for a free trial for 30 days, and that I could cancel anytime in the 30 days. If I didn't cancel in 30 days. I would be automatically part of a contract for one year. That contract would start the day I activated service.
So, I call to cancel the free service, but they want to charge a hefty contract cancellation fee. I told them I never signed up for a contract, so I did not have to pay a fee. Also I was never, ever told I'd be charged a fee in the first place. Also, they said I ONLY had 2 choices. Pay the cancellation fee (that I never knew about), or start my contract and pay the fees for 1 year. I told them I had consumer rights, and one of them was to not be charged for a service I never agreed to pay for.
Like other said, they also transferred me to many people over many hours... finally a woman said, "yes, it sounds like you're in your 30 days and you will not have to pay the fee, just call this number and they will help you." She gives me a number, and get this... "this number is not available in your area." however, I can call ANYONE else in the world... but not CenturyLink? Saving my transcripts in case a class action gets started. There's no way we'd lose.

given wrong information
First wrong information was given on January 02.
I called CenturyLink on January 2, 2017 to cancel my home phone. The lady told me if I get only get internet I have to pay $74, but if I get a bundle product I will pay $64 for bundle. I asked couple time to make sure that is that for both internet and TV. She told me It's only $64 for home internet and direct TV. So I signed up for that bundle. After one month, I received a bill for $338 for almost two months. I talked to CenturyLink, who was promised that amount for bundle, they are telling to talk to the direct TV and direct TV telling to talk to the CenturyLink. I talked back and forth 11 times since I got this bill. Nobody taking responsibility for wrong information was giving to me. Since I got large amount of bill that they promised me, I cancelled my service with direct TV for the wrong information was given by CenturyLink, I have to pay cancellation fee roughly $400 for direct TV, If they don't wave. I'm not willing to pay early cancellation fee for wrong information was given by a member of CenturyLink. CenturyLink should take care of my early cancelation fee by direct TV.
second wrong information given today (02/22).
I called CenturyLink today, one guy told me If I get internet through CenturyLink it will be $64. I told him I already talked to different people different time they all told me $34, he said no internet is $64. Again 30 minutes later called CenturyLink to cancel my service that lady told me internet is $34 with discount. This is second wrong information was given by CenturyLink.
CenturyLink has to take responsibility for wrong information given by their employees.
Who is the responsible company for wrong information given to a customer, when two different companies involved on a service?
