MoneyGram money orders purchased from Wal-Mart

January 16th i received two MoneygGram money orders (for $1,000 & $500) purchased at a local Wal-Mart. That evening i went to the same Wal-Mart they where purchased from to cash them. The first one of $1,000.00 went threw just fine, not one issue. No more than 5 minuets later did she try to cash the 2nd one of $500 and there system declined it (even though i had just cashed a very large one). Wal-Mart them selves places a FLAG on my money order. So the flag placed a hold that wouldn't allow any other check cashing company/bank to process and pay out funds. On the following day jan 17th i called the customer service number that was on the decline receipt to find out why and how to get it fixed. It took me two times calling and going threw the automated prompts to even get an actual human. Mean while i was also on there web site trying to do the same thing... Both service lines are useless, unhelpful, waist of time and phone minuets. All i was told was there system didn't like any number of things.... the number sequence on the Check, the amount, the time and place of cashing it, me cashing two checks back-2-back... Yup nothing could be done about it either, the money order was no longer good at walmart oh and to get the flag lifted, id have to go back to Wal-Mart.

So to verify this thing was a legitimate Money order, i called Moneygram just to hear what they had to say.... Got a human named Rosa right away, nice and let me know that i had a legitimate Money order but... Walmart needed to take there FLAG off before it could be cashed (anyplace but walmart). I at this point was over it but i stopped by the one it was originally purchased from, who declined it and flagged it to. simply get it all undone. And guess what.... NOTHING, the money center lady tried telling me that they don't use a 3rd party to determine anything .

So day's 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and finally 22..
Not one place i tried would take it.

On the 23rd of January. 7 days into this mess, a family member offered to deposit it into her account. We endorsed it over, deposited in the bank atm and received a confirmation email stating funds would be avail. On the 24th. I felt so relieved that it would be done with...

6am January 24th, new funds available email.... Even double checked the app. It said the $500 was available..
Get to the bank and go to get my money finally.... WTF! The money order was processing and now its not going to be avail. For another day.
I call wells fargo and speak to a girl who didn't understand what was going on, what i was asking.
Took my unhappy ass into the bank. After almost an hour of fixing yet another booboo, there system duplicated the Check. I was told now everything looked good, it was processing and verified already, money should be avail. In 1-3 days...
But only a short time later after leaving the bank i got yet another disappointing email. Now this stupid thing is being rejected altogether by there system for possible fraud.
I called specialist account help, who "fixed" it. A letter of why it was rejected and a letter of how to use the photo copied reissued money order was being over nighted to me. And that the bank would be able to cash it, with no issue, it was clean, valid and cashable...

January 26th 10am... Got package, went to bank, talked to same original banker and tried cashing it. But there system will not cash this stupid freaking moneygram money order.
No place will, i needed that money that first night... Bills don't wait, companies don't care if my Moneygram money order won't cash! Im in a terrible jam now and Moneygram says requests for new checks cost $18 (to be sent in with required form) it will process requests in 20 days and if approved it will cost an additional $22 paid upfront to overnight a new check... Who has that time to sit on something needed a week ago, oh and why should i pay for your money order being uncashable... That's your bad not mine!

Super frustrated, over whelming amounts of stressing all because a tiny piece of paper.
