REFRIGERATOR

I purchased home warranty from chase warranty for a second home / rental home the refrigerator was not cool , I paid them to send a technician to look at it and he made the decision the refrigerator was irreparable, choice home warranty refuse to pay for a replacement or replace the refrigerator themselves instead they want to give me a whole sale value of 599 dollars but I have to keep my account open . This problem has been going on for almost two months every day they have someone different call with no solution in sight.
The lady disconnected the call and cancelled the insurance don't knw if they is a better organized scam out there.

Won't Do What is Promised

My tankless water heater stopped working. I have two tech come out and each one spent only five minutes saying that cannot fix the water heater. They keep changing techs because the ultimately are unqualified, also I got an email approving repair but now tech not qualified. Paying tech fees and taking time off from work has started to add up and still no hot water. The supervisors do not return phone calls and you pay them the money and they don't provide the service they promised. When you ask to escalate you are on hold for a long time if you get someone at all. All I ask is for them to do what they promised they would do and haven't as of yet.

Dishonest Business Practices

Dear Mr. Hakim,
I am writing to you to immediately cancel my warranties with your company and refund my $7,000 paid to you on November 27, 2017. You have failed to honor any aspect of the warranties Policy #: 713196685, 975881283, 589932701, and 644247604. I want the full amount of $7,000 repaid to me promptly in conjunction of the $240.00 I paid for leak tests on two properties.
Despite the representations in your contracts, your company used creative and deceptive means to deny my claims. Your company vigorously enticed me to buy so-called comprehensive coverage for crucial home systems and appliances and then denied their claims using alleged deceptive practices. The most recent incident occurred this month when I put in claims for two of my properties at 2035 ad 2059 Morehouse Drive. The air conditioners were not functioning properly and one of your contracted technicians went out to diagnose them. He reviewed them on Sunday, May 19th and submitted a report to your company.
You instructed him to do a leak test on both units and refused to pay for it. I paid the technician $240.00 for the test that he conducted on Monday, May the 21st. Both units are relatively new, 2016, and the technician noted that there is no rust, damage, or anything that is the fault of the user. You totally backed away from your policy:
During the coverage period, our sole responsibility will be to arrange for a qualified service contractor to repair or replace, at our expense, the systems and components mentioned as "Included" in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract so long as such systems and components:


1. Are located inside the confines of the main foundation of the home or attached or detached garage (with the exception of the exterior pool/spa, well pump, septic tank pumping and air conditioner);and
2. Become inoperative due to normal wear and tear; and
3. Are in place and in proper working order on the effective date of this home warranty contract. This contract does not cover any known or unknown pre-existing conditions. Coverage is for occupied, owned or rented residential property.
Even though it is not my fault, you company clearly has no intention of ever actually repairing anything and the warranty is a complete fraud. I had two private technicians totally agree that the leak is absolutely not my fault, the unit new and not improperly used or mistreated, and that Choice should pay to have the repairs done. They agree assertively that the warranty is a complete fraud and my money spent on it is essentially stolen.

Your company has done this type of crooked, criminal behavior before and even after you were forced to pay a nearly $780K in settlement in 2015 for such shameful business practices, you continue to lie, cheat, beguile, and steal from unsuspecting consumers in blatant violation of the Consumer Fairness Act.
I expect my full refund of $7,000 for the warranties, $240 for the inspection tests to be reimbursed to me within five days. If not I plan to take immediate legal action against Choice Home Warranty.

A/C Unit

I brought this plan earlier this year and this is the first time that I have filed a claim against it. I called on 5/11/15 and informed the claims specialist that my A/C was not working. However, in between the time of the service call our A/C started back working. We still allowed the service provider to come out to just check the system to see if there was any problems. When they came out they said that we needed freon and was calling in to add an additional 2lb (he said he had to ask in increments of lbs) but our system had over 4lbs still in the system. He went out to put the freon in the system and he informed us that the condenser was going in and out. He called into the home warranty company to tell his findings. When we called in we were told that our unit was not covered because it is not something that happens normally. It is the belief of Russ (Employee#: 185295) that these condensers should never break down. He informed me that a condenser should not break down unless something happens outside of it. This is not something that is checked nor serviced during a service call. The technicians just ensure that the condenser is still running and that is it. This I find hard to believe since anything man made is fallible so they will eventually fail in time. I am filing with the BBB because I feel this is a scam that is going on. On their site you said regardless of the age of the equipment it is covered however they will not cover things that are used 24 hours a day. If these item break their first response is to find a way to say that it is not normal wear and tear. They are preying on homeowners with the promise of having one less thing to worry about but when something happens the find a way to not cover the home owner.

Non Payment Complete Lack of Service

I stuck with them for two years trying to allow for the human factor. In the end almost everyone of their employees are either uninformed or taught to go out of their way to stretch the case out. I was without a refrigerator for 9 weeks and eventually fixed it myself. One of the Appliance Repair Facilities is now coming after me for the full amount and I have to hire an attorney to represent my case. They don't work on weekends and at one time THIS IS NOT A JOKE I called to submit a claim and they said I couldn't because everyone was on vacation for two weeks. EVERYONE!!! What kind of company does this? The only thing I can say good about them is that when I cancelled my policy I received my residual of about $40 after 2 months which I didn't expect to receive at all. I could go on but really do I need to? If you have read this and some of the other postings and still try this company, all I can say is I can't wait to read your posting. The only way you will be happy with this company is if you have no warranty claims. Oh actually, they are very professional at the outset when it comes to signing you up and getting your money. Once they have it, they turn into a sort of Sanford & Son of Home Warranty Companies without the Son. What they need is an Attorney General to come down on them like a metric ton and shut them down!

Non Payment Complete Lack of Service

Please contact me if you have a problem with Choice Home Warranty. I will give you all my case numbers of open cases with the FCC, Texas Attorney General and NJ Attorney General. I have also been in contact with a couple of attorneys interested in a class action against this company because of NUMEROUS complaints logged against Choice Home Warranty.

Dishonorable Piece of Crap!

Their warranty documents indictate that we had wait 30 days before making a claim. Well, we did - our water heater died yesterday.. 37 days after getting the contract began. Those idiots are trying to say it's only 7 days valid! They are a scam!!! We've paid two installments, but are cancelling this junk and reporting them to every media we can, including the BBB!!!
