Re: Complaint about faulty car bearing registration number [ BPT8660 ], Honda CRV 2.0
I would like to seek your serious attention on a major technical issue with my Honda CRV that has yet to be resolved by Honda technicians Sri Utama.
On 30 January 2019, I purchased my Honda CRV from one of your dealer Sri Utama Auto Sdn Bhd. The vehicle has been working well until recently I noticed the engine would unexpectedly rev up to approximately 4000 RPM when driving.
On 25 July 2022 and 16 August 2022, I sent my vehicle to the Honda-authorized workshop at Sri Utama. After a day of inspection, the technician was unable to identify the source of the issue. I was advised to continue driving the vehicle and record the incident if the issue occurs again. Due to the indeterministic nature of the issue, I managed to record the incident only once after several occurrence of the issue within a month from the first inspection.
The technician categorized the issue under grade A, which I was told to mean “extremely dangerous”. Despite a week more of thorough inspection, the technician was unable to identify the root of the issue. The technician replaced with the used brake padding, but the issue remains. I was advised not to drive the vehicle because it is highly unsafe.
I'm truly appreciated Sri Utama is doing their best to help me in this matter. Unfortunately, Honda Malaysia say that's have to wait to the incident if the issue occurs again by test car from A technician and customer, then only Honda Malaysia will arrange for further action.
This issue has been very inconvenient to me for some time and is something I do not expect coming from a Honda vehicle. Since this issue appears to be beyond a technician’s expertise, I would appreciate your kind arrangement to get A senior technician or engineer who may have better insights on this issue.
I look forward to settling the matter amicably. If, however, the matter is not satisfactory resolved by 30 September 2022, I will consider taking further action to resolve the complaint and anything happen while using this vehicle which might endanger our life or incur extra cost will be entirely your responsibility.
