I had a booking ID No: 190110155046 booked on 10.1.2019 for stay at Hotel Beena Residency, Kollur for check in on 12.1.2019
It is astonishing to note that my family could not check in with your confirmed voucher as it was informed that they are not honouring your bookings and have no arrangements with clear trip. There was no alternate rooms available at Beena Residency. My family was stranded for about 4 hours .
However with the help of local taxi guys they managed a room at Mookambika Palace at exorbitant rates.
Till date we did not receive any call or mail from your end regarding the non-availability of the bookings for which the entire amount was paid by me.
This is cheating and I request you to look into the matter urgently and revert including refund of the full amount. I need a detailed report else I will be constrained to initiate legal course of action through my Counsel for the loss and hardship suffered to my family
This was the mail sent to the support team of Clear Trip on Monday. Subsequently I had spoken to the customer care executive who was of the opinion that I should have taken the alternate arrangements made by the hotel officials. It may be noted that I had travelled all the way from thiruvananthapuram and reached Mookambika around 7pm, Beena Residency officials had categorically stated that they have no arrangements with Clear Trip and they will not honour any bookings from clear trip. Since my daughter was there the hotel officials suggested a near by lodge which was untidy and the not fit for a family to stay. the rates were so cheap as low below Rs 1000 where as I had paid Rs 2250 with clear trip. The customer care executive was of the opinion that I should have taken the alternate arrangements made as well inform the clear trip then I am not satisfied with the alternate lodge. It may be noted that the time has gone past 9 pm and two ladies are with me in a new place. With much hardship and request from our end the local guys had arranged an good accommodation at Hotel Mookambika Palace. The said hotel also informed that they have no arrangements with clear trip even though their site states so. The customer executive had gone to the extend that I was wrong on the entire issue and there is no fault with clear trip as the software of the company had shown that there is vacant rooms in the hotel. I was held over the phone for 30 minutes and regarding the refund issue they need to examine the entire matter and will communicate whether to refund the money or not. It is not understood that Clear Trip had accepted the fact that they were unable to provide accommodation in the hotel choosen by me and fully paid and making me run for the refund. The customer care executive who spoke to me was dictating terms to me .
So whether I receive the refund or not is an issue which will dealt severely to the extent possible by me I advise all travellers to avoid Clear Trip gateway for bookings of any kind.
