My employer asked me to assist in removing past employees from our Ufiling profile as it had not been updated in 3 years. I called the labour center and advised that the system would not allow me to remove them because these employees left work 2-3 years ago and the system allows only termination for the moth we;re in. I was advised to fill in UI-19 Form with all the details of the employees and email to "[email protected]" and "[email protected]". On 29/08/2017 i filled them out and faxed to the fax number provided, Forms take 7-14 working days to be processed and we will receive an email notification once it has been processed. On 14/09/2017 I then called again because i hadn't received any feedback and an Agent told me to forward the declarations to his personal fax. When i called the center again I was told that "the Agent" is working in the PR department this week he wont be able to assist me.

I was told that i must send the UI-19 Declaration to another email address "[email protected]" as the lady said she was not getting anything on the system regarding the UI-19's I've been sending to them. She also said we urgently need to submit all the other returns we have not submitted as it has been 3 years. We can submit the past returns by simply putting a zero on all the salaries of the people who have left in that specific month.On 03/10/17 i received an email from the UIF , please saying they received my declarations. i followed up and spoke to another "Agent" on 05/10/17 and she also asked me to send the declarations to her personal fax so she can forward to the relevant department.

Everytime i call i get a different instruction, Most times when i call the UIF call centre i hold for long periods of time to no avail. On 19/10/2017 i called the center again and spoke to a Johannes and he said i should terminate all the past employees on our system using today's date, then submit the UI-19 Forms with the correct date of termination. When i tried to explain to him that the forms were already sent to the email address and asked for further explanations he dropped while i was talking.
