I am appalled with the commercials that are broadcasted on family friendly channels like ABCFamily. As a mother of a 4 and 6 year old I feel they should be able to watch a family channel without witnessing sexually explicit content or innapropriate content. It is disgusting that things like this have to be crammed down the parents throats. I should not have to educate my child on something they witnessed on the television. I will discuss life issues with my child when the appropriate time comes. I see worse things on television than I have ever seen in my life and I am not sheltered. This is damaging our children into believing what they see on TV is the norm. I, as an involved parent, will discuss these matters with my children. But, let's be honest, a lot of parents do not. There needs to be parental ratings on commercials that coincide with the current programming on that channel.
