Received 3 bills from Convergent OutSourcing, Inc. Never had any dealings with the 3 companies that they listed and called them. They requested personal information that I would not give out. One was a hugh owed bill for Capital One credit card of over $5000.00. They offered to do a charge off for lesser money.

I called Capital One and they informed me it was Fraud Collections, I just reeived my invoice from Capital One and my balance was under $100,00 and I was in good standing with the company. Capita One is investigating the company for Collection Fraud.

I also recently had an issue of Identiy thief with a stolen account number but nott he card. The cardit cared company called me and the Fraud Investigation Team is handling this.

I went to the police department and made out a complaint on the stolen account number to have on file and also showed the Officer the 3 Bills and my invoice of less money and that it is all over the internet that people are receiving these bills and they are a Fraud Collection agency and I want to make a complaint and add it to my complaint file as Identity Thief ReportI

What you need to do.

1. File a Complaint Report to your Local Police Department on Idenity Thief and Fraud Collection
2. Call all of your Credit Cards and Inform thema nd Send the report.
3. Go on Line to the USPOST OFFICE and http://tools.usps.com and do a report.
4. Call your Attorney Generals Office and make a complaint for then to start a Fraud Investigation.
5. Call your 3 credit reporting agencies and send them a copy of the Police Report.
6. Send a letter to teh Convergent OutSourcing , Inc. ( letting them know that you have done all of the above to start a full investigation into the company for Fraud Collection, Federal Offense. Do noive them any personal information and send it out Certified with a Signature and keep for your records.
7. All else faild call the FBI and speak to an agent and mybe this will get the ball rolling for a investigation if the Attirney generals office is no help.
8. Also send an email or letter of Complaint to the BBB.
Hope this helps it is a bit of a night mare when you have these lazy aXXXX whant to swindle inocent people out of many and the elderly I am sure are the highest targeted.

While checking my credit, it was noted that this company was on my report as me being delinquent in a debt for eBay in the amount of 218. I did received correspondence from eBay with this collection but told them that I am not responsible and did what was asked of me from them. Never heard back from them and now while trying to buy a home this is on my credit... Never heard of this company at all and not sure why they are contacting me....

I received a letter for a phone bill, and I have never had a Centurylink account. They are saying that I owe for current charges for a phone number that I had disconnected 6 years ago. I recently pulled a credit report and this company did not show up as someone that I owe money too. SCAM! When I called Convergent customer service line the agent hung up on me so I called back 3 more times, and they all hung up on me. The did not even run my name, etc... when I told them I have never had a Centurylink account, that is when the calls were disconnected. I attempted one more time to call and the customer service representative insist I give her my social security number. I refused so she said that they will remove my address from their data base and I will no longer be sent collection letters. Weird! I called my local police department and filed a report, sent a copy to the Attorney General and the BBB. This is definately a scam.

I received a letter indicating I owed Ebay fees for 108.95 and was ordered to call an 855-343-7890 x7011 telephone. When I looked up the telephone number, it was from the UK. Knowing my Ebay account is in good standing, I assumed this was fraud.
