I contacted Cordell and Cordell to help me with changing my custody arrangement from 3 days on/ 3 days off, too week on and week off. I heard their ads on the radio and decided to call them; met with Rachel Palmer t their Denver Tech center locations where she discussed how they can help me with this request. After I supplied them with my parenting plan signed by the court and $1800 retainer for their service we began what I thought would be a smooth and helpful process.
1. We never discuss a strategy on how we need to approach my goal to help me daughter.
2. They randomly billed my credit card without even giving me notice or asking me if I agree with what they are trying to do.
3. After speaking with another attorney, my custody agreement requires me to go to mediation in order to make changes to my custody agreement or any disputes with my ex-wife over my daughter required mediation. My appointed Cordell lawyer Rachel Palmer never advises me to set up mediation, before pursuing court. I felt like Cordell and Cordell just took advantage of my lake of understanding of the law, but they kept billing me for filling forms we never used and for court forms we didn’t need at the time.
4. After I complained to Cordell and Cordell, my lawyer Rachel Palmer contacted me. We had a short conversation that she didn’t charge me for, but sent me a large bill for a write up that I never requested.
5. For all the money I spent with Cordell and Cordell, there has been nothing accomplished with my case and I’m back at square one with trying to change my custody agreement.
6. I’ve been charged over $4500 for what I don’t know.. It’s unbelievable that Cordell and Cordell would take advantage of someone, who doesn’t quite understand all the custody laws.
This was a true waste of my money, waste of my time and I’m no closer to helping my little girl. I’ll never recommend Cordell and Cordell, I will advise and advocate to all my friends co-workers and golf club members to never attempt to contact Cordell and Cordell based on my experience…
