I received a call and placed an order for their magazines. They informed me I had 3 days to cancel my order. The following morning I phoned them back to cancel my order and was told it was done. Then I get billed. I called the phone # on my credit card statement to tell them I cancelled and they tell me that it isn't anywhere in their records. Then I am told I have to prove I called their 300 line and send them my phone statement. I then find out my mybphone service "straight talk" refused to help unless I get a court sobpeona for my cell phone company to release my information. In the meantime, I am in a contract with them that demands psyment. They will not work with me on this and your word that you cancelled is not accepted. Why wasn't it cancelled when I called less than 24 hours later to cancel.
The cancellation number I was given was not a match for what they say is theirs. I work many hours and finding time to get the subpeona is next to impossible for me to get done.
They lock you in even if you called within the 3 days to cancel, by ignoring your request.
I am forced to pay until I can get my subpoena for proof that I called their number to cancel with the time and date too.
Whatever happened to "the customer is always right?" Its my money and I don't want to support these magazines. There is no one to talk with to stop this. No advocate, no Supervisor, No one in charge, just sellers. I feel my money has been stolen from me because it has! My fault for answering my phone!
