I was on my way back to my home in Virginia Beach, Va, coming from a doctor's appointment at Duke Cancer Institute, in Durham N.C. My husband wanted to stop and eat at your store #343 and I ordered the turkey dinner(the special) and a salad. My salad was brought out by someone in the kitchen (not my server) and the salad had a tomato in it that was rotten and had white fuzz all over it. It was place on the table and the girl left before I could tell her about the condition of the salad.. She finally bought the dinner and I showed her the rotten salad.. She said Sorry and said she would bring me another one...I told her no thanks, and I could not eat my dinner after that.. I informed my waitress about the salad and she said she would take off the salad on my bill. I found the manager and informed him of the situation and he said he would take the salad off the bill....I had no intentions of paying for a rotten salad anyway... He could have at least offer to take my meal off the bill, due to the nauseating salad,,, but he didn't... I wanted the manager to be aware that when you are dealing with fixing someone food, it would be not only nice but the right thing to do, is look at the plate of food to see if there is something wrong with it. I would like to send the picture to you personally if I could get an email......because of the manager not expressing that he would ensure his staff check food before serving it, and reducing my bill, because I could not eat anything after all that, I am now reluctant on eating there again...We do have a lovely store here in Va. Beach Va. ( On Lynnhaven Parkway) that I trust and like very much....I will just be eating at this one, near home...At least I know I would be treated nicely here. I tried to give complaint to the Cracker Barrel Page but this was rejected and could not go through.....hmmmmm......Sincerely, L. Riddick
