I received a letter from Customers Compensation Lottery stating that I had won a lottery for Customers that have shopped at many common major US stores ie: Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, Zellers, Staples, etc. After calling the number on the letter, I was advised that I had been one of 50 declared winners that would be sharing 1.135 million dollars. I was advised that I would need to send in a sum of 1,500.00 for taxes that are due on the winnings. When I called the number listed on the letter, a man began telling me about the lottery, when I told him that I never entered a lottery, he told me that someone would have to call me back. This is a scam and it needs to be addressed.
