Bad Service/Rude/Untimely completion

I brought in my wrecked 2001 Volkswagen Beetle in November 2011. The owner (Angel) demanded payment, which was the check from the insurance. Angel even offered to come pick up the check at 8:00 PM., which is very unprofessional. They were desperate enough to ask me to leave it under my doormat. I was called by Jenny to pick up the car in January. It was not done correctly (paint issues and 3 lights were not properly installed-headlight, blinker light, and fog light). I returned the car for them to fix, went to pick it up the second time (March 2012) and the paint jobs were still not done. I refused to sign a document of completion, though they asked for my signature on the first time I went to pick up my car. I'm on my third try in getting my car repairs and paint job done on my car. They have kept my car for about 3-4 months. When I went to pick up the car the second time, the man that brought out my car (Jenny heard this conversation) said that the issue of the paint was due to the hood of the car hitting and scratching the paint, and that the part that was purchased was not made directly for my car and that it was not an issue to worry about. He also claimed that if the paint job was done, the scratching of the paint would continue. I talked to the owner and he used words such as "not give a damn" and even hung up on me. The owner seemed very worried about getting paid but has yet to complete the job. His estimate paper was not clear on the costs either or where the parts are from. Seeing how some of the work was not installed or items were purchased that may not go well with my car. I was referred to them by my lawyer who is dealing with my accident claim. I would like to get my car inspected by an accredited location to check that my car has not been faulted/messed with. I do not think it is fair for them to demand payment and leave me to deal without a vehicle for 3-4 months.

Bad Service/Rude/Untimely completion

i maybe be complaining in the morning. pending pickup ... they said my car was done .. yet it isn't complete and they are demanding payment.
