We paid a deposit 2 years ago and at handover they wanted to give us a completely different property to what we initially signed up for. We have tried to lodge a complaint but no one from Damac has contacted us in terms of trying to give us a refund.

we invested in a studio. developer is late by 38 plus months in hand over. we paid upto 50%. they simply sent emails of threats to pay balance showing 70% complete 80% 90% complete and never 100% and a definite day. it looks like they have framed the spa terms so crafty they are immune from their lapses and dld which goes by the letter and book, says there is no option that buyers signed for it so payment delays entails cancellation with less than 7% of paid amount as returnable. i am sure dubai as a government and administration has a sterling reputation to guard at times like this and hope they nab the miscreant in right way with fair practice and ethics highlighted. the developer kept changing the name of the project so as to offer same property to different people with different terms [of course not duplicating the sales]. we bought for some 525,000 dhs. same studio being sold for 330,000 that too with 5 years emi s. i truly hope some one escalate this to dubai rulers offices and get justice done to both parties. hope all distressed buyers form a joint action group to take damac to court.

Very bad customer service and business handling. For my property purchased back in 03/2020 I am waiting for handover. It has been 9 months and no progress.
They only care about the money they get from buyers but deliver no service or even the product handover.

Damac is indisputedly the WORST property developer in the world. They are nakedly and unashamedly milking investors, with the whole apparatus revolving around collection of money from Any source and delivering underquality property at exorbitant prices (to pay for more development and over-the-top dishonest promotion).
While Dubai has many other avaricious property developers, Damac stands apart as an extreme example of the worst characteristics in a developer bar one. I am not exaggerating....
They get away with murder in this respect, with no effective recourse for restitution for investors. Avoid dealing with them as they are a locust plague.
